1) Buehler - after 4 consecutive misses in practice...its safe to say the pressure has been turned up for him. I think more than one miss against San Diego...and Stover is in camp monday morning. Now thats alot of pressure on Buehler and I think we really find out alot about him as he has his first serious speed bump in practice.

2) Robert Brewster - I am calling out Wade Phillips on this one as from all reports Sam Young has had better camp. But lets just put that aside for the moment and let this play out. Things to look for is how far Brewster is sitting back in his stance...is he 4 yards deep like we heard about this week in practice or is he closer to line and can anchor some. SD will test him to the outside...will be interesting to see how he handles that.

3) Sean Lee - could look rusty but we should see some of his natural insticts play out. Hopefully we come away from this game with peace of mind that Lee can be immediate contributor this year and allow Jason Williams another year to groom.

4) Akwasi Owusu-Ansah - if anyone fits the part for cover safety its this guy. Great size, speed and intelligent. From listening to his interviews...u just get the feel this guy will have shorter learning curve. He will handle kick-offs and punt returns and it is exciting to finally see that 4.32 speed.

5) Danny McCray - has had the best special teams camp and good range at safety. He is maybe one more big play away from making the team...possibly bumping Watkins. A guy I am really pulling for to seize the moment.

All good players to watch for sure...

The other players I will be keeping an eye on are:

Costa: Want to see if he continues to do well at center. He looked very good last game, but will need to be consistent to make the roster.

Bright: Has had mixed reviews from fans depending on whom you ask. Coaches seem to be impressed just like they were last season, but Bright will need to show he is a reliable option at either guard, center, or preferrably both in order to make final 53.

Terrell Hudgins: Looked good last game despite a sore ankle. Has really nice size for WR, and decent speed...Long shot to make final 53, but if he has more good games and shows something on special teams he could be in the mix for the final WR spot along with Hurd/Holley.

Holland: This one is weird, I know...But I want to see how he fits in with the starting OL lineup in Kosiers absence. There's a possibility he could play up to three regular season games at that spot, and I want to see if there is any noticeable difference with him.

Barron: Looked really subpar at LT to me in the first reseason game. If he does in fact play at RT filling in for Columbo, I want to see if he has any better luck at that position. With his physical attributes, he should be able to play tackle and dominate. Will the light finally come on?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

People kill me when they say they see no point in watching the preseason. I put up full exhibition preseason games for download and people see no point in re-watching the games unless we had won.

I wish these people would WAKE UP!!!!

I don't understand this point.

The coaches see every practice, see all the tape and made the decision to start Brewster over Young.

You have second hand tweets from Tim MacMahon and have managed to determined Young is having the better camp.

I don't get it.

Edit:

nevermind. I should've read the rest of your post. Silly me.

I have watched closely two preseason games and Young looked more sound. Brewster was the higher draft pick and Dallas tends to favor that at times...but it doesnt always equate to the better player starting. I believe Micky spoke to this yesterday...that Brewster was having trouble so Dallas put Young in against 1st team and held his own. I just hope Dallas starts the better player and keeps politics (draft slot) out of it.

1. O-Line starters and backup. I will group them together. Just want to see how they do. Of course if they, team, decide to do shorter drops and more runs it might not give us much to go on compared to the normal offense. Although I think this type of offense might be better in the redzone.

2. Sean Lee. Curious to see how he does. Curious to see how all of the young LBs do including the rushers...but he interests me the most right now.

3. The backup DBs. Between the backups at S or CB it will be interesting to see who makes it and who does not and will also want to see how they play in another area I will mention later.

4. The backup WRs.

5. Special Teams. Not only to see how David B will do, but also to see the coverage/return teams as it might help us out in figuring out which of the backups will make the team.

I've been reading that Young has done very well according to the live updates.

A concerned fan wrote this about Brewster on a blog that made me :laugh2: Apparently this fan is worried about Brewster not being able to protect Romo. "Tell him to hold if he has to or do the Flozell type tripping to keep Romo safe".

you forgot two guys IMO

Phil Costa

T Bright

I am pulling for both of these guys to make the team

Stover won't be in camp Monday if The Beuhler has a bad Saturday night. If Dallas does decide to sign a veteran kicker, they won't do so until after final cuts.
