Oh man i can agree with that. Madden Franchise just let me down in 08. I didn't think madden was capable of downgrading Franchise, and then they went and proved me wrong.

Apparently this is the year to remember with the Madden series (yeah, they say that every year) but apparently the franchise mode was improved on realism in stats.. who knows? I guess we shall see in two weeks.

I dont think you understood my point. The human mind is complex enough to be happy in the moment and also look at the needs of the future. I guarantee you every GM in the league is doing it as we speak.

Point of fact, Jerry and Stephen Jones have been locking up the young talent on this team for down the road. Even beyond 5 years in some cases. That will continue.

There is cap room left in 2008. There is cap room in 2009. 2010 may or may not be an uncapped year. 2011 could be a work stoppage if a new CBA isn't agreed to. The Cowboys are aware of all of this and prepared for it. The evidence lies right at the cap room they are keeping. As long as they continue to Draft well this thread was a complete waste of time.

I'm sorry the Front Office has done such a fine job of managing the Cap so that the whole point of this thread is rendered null and void.

Good info, interesting way to look at it. Even though I will admit, you almost had me in tears with that one. All the good folks are gone and aged. Its cool though. I will be able to say my eyes were glued to them throughout their career!
