If League wants to change anything else about the playoffs, start with seeding based on record and not divisional title. That way you avoid a 12 win team traveling to an 8 win team for a Wild Card game.

Other than that, leave it alone. This year is an aberration due to the shocking incident with D. Hamlin. Had they been able to play that game out, there would be no need for a potential neutral site game for the 2022 season playoffs.

Rewarding winning teams with home field advantage is important and part of the core of professional sports. Leave it alone despite the money gains made with this aberration.

Actually not a bad idea.......levels the playing field a bit

Good.

Maybe this will force these NFL teams to build new stadiums to have shade-cover domes rather than exposing players, fans to threatening inclement weather conditions
as well as must-move neutral games. - ala Chicago, Buffalo, KC, Denver, New York and Minnesota.

I can't see the owners signing off on this at all. The point to get a higher seed is to have as many home games as you can in the playoffs. And the owners absolutely don't want to share earnings of these playoff home games, which I assume they would on a neutral site game.

This was a special circumstance that even then, should not be happening based on the already in place rules for cancelled games. NFL screwed over Cincy hard with all of this. And Buffalo got a defacto 1 seed where they don't have a road playoff game.

Since we have next to no home field advantage to speak of, it doesn’t bother me.

Where is this game being played?
Define 'next to none'. We only lost one game at home this year and that was to open the season. All our recent playoff wins have been at home and we finally won our first road playoff game in 30 years. The past never matters, you ALWAYS want the home games in the playoffs. If we lose, oh well. Doesn't change that fact,

The location of the neutral site for this game baffles me. Why not Indy - right between the two cities and up north?
I heard they have some other event already scheduled and hotel availability would be an issue. I think they declined it.

Yes we do want home games, but it’s not as if we are GB or Buf which hold distinct advantages now that these games are played at the very coldest time of the year.

We don’t play in a place where it’s difficult for opposing fans to get their hands on seats.

Our fans have a habit of being quite tame, compared to other fan bases, at times as well.

Sure we were 8-1 at home this year, but if one was to rank what home field means to each particular club, Dallas would be in the bottom third at best.

open stadium teams will not agree to this especially in chilly cities as they may never get a championship game .

Another fantastic idea by the NFL where the team that would get a home playoff game gets screwed. What I mean by that is the city. The city loses out on the money that would have been brought in by this game. The people that work the stadium, security, traffic management, concessions etc. on game day all lose out on that income. Hey great job on getting the number 1 seed. The road to the super bowl goes through you...except the second biggest game before it. We're gonna move your money to another city that has nothing to do with you. Congrats and good luck. As a fan thanks for taking away a home playoff game from me where now I have to spend more money to travel, use vacation time and host of other things to watch my team in some other town. It's like going to an out of town wedding. Oh great this is going to cost me. Didn't want to use that vacation time for an actual vacation.

Dear loyal fan, thanks spending a ton of money on that PSL for your seats...now go watch your team in Neutralville and bring more money...Thanks, love Roger.
