50th anniversary of first SB winning team

Fifty seasons ago, the 1971 Dallas Cowboys won their first Super Bowl, defeating the Miami Dolphins 24-3 in one of the most dominant defensive performances in SB history. Bob Lily’s 29 yard sack of Miami QB Bob Griese is still one of the iconic plays in SB history. The Cowboys had 12 HOFers at that game, including 8 players 2 coaches, and 2 executives.

Sure would be nice to see 50 years later, the 2021 team have a little 50 year magic.

had a bumpy patch mid-season but righted themselves quickly...4-3 at the end of oct...then went on a roll.
a guy like herb adderly was incredibly important to that 1st super bowl win.

The "bumpy patch" was Landry playing musical chairs at QB, to the point of having them alternate plays in a loss at Chicago.

After that game, Lilly said he and a few other leaders asked Landry to pick one and stay with him. Fortunately, he chose Staubach.

Would love it— but we would need a healthy and epic year from Dak, Zeke, WRs— and a top 15 D to have a real shot at sniffing #6

Lots of “ifs” need to break our way— but none bigger than “IF” Quinn can get his unit to produce. A marginally better defense would work wonders for this whole franchise lol
