After getting rave reviews earlier in the pre-season, I haven't heard anything about Glymph recently. I didn't see the game against the Phony Whiners, so I don't know how he played (or even if he played). Do you think they would keep him over Fowler if no trade can be worked out?

Since Gurode can also play guard in a pinch with AJ at center, I'd feel better keeping Petitti and trying to trade Batiste (given our past luck at tackle).

With the roster predictions, you are really only talking about 3-4 questions.

Guarenteed spots:

QB
1. Bledsoe
2. Romo

RB
3. Jones
4. MBIII
5. Thompson

TE
6. Witten
7. Fasano
8. Hannam

WR
9. Owens
10. Glenn
11. Crayton
12. Rector

T
13. Adams
14. Columbo
15. McQ

G
16. Kosier
17. Riveria
18. Proctor

C.
19. Gurode
20. Johnson

DE
21. Spears
22. Canty
23. Ratliff
24. Hatcher

NT
25. Ferguson

OLB
26. Ware
27. Ellis
28. Burnett
29. Boiman

ILB
30. James
31. Ayodele
32. Carpenter

CB
33. Newman
34. Henry
35. Glenn
36. Reeves
37. Jones

S.
38. Roy
39. Keith
40. Watkins

K.
41. Vanderjagt

P
42. McBriar

LS
43. LaDouceur

That leaves you 10 spots. But its not everyone competing for 10 spots. Certain spots will necessarily be filled. So you have:

1. Backup NT between Pepper and Stanley.
2. 4th Tackle between Fabini and Pettiti.
3. 5th WR between Hurd, Copper and Green.
4. 4th Safety between Elam and Coleman.
5. 4th ILB between Fowler and Hoyte.
6. 4th TE between Curtis and Polite.

That brings you to 49 with 4 spots still open.

Thus, predicting the roster really comes down to what you do with those last 4 spots.

Competing for those last 4 sports are:

3rd NT (loser of Stanley/Pepper)
6th WR (between losers of Hurd/Copper/Green)
KR (Green)
Kickoff Specialist (Suisham)
5th Tackle (loser of Fabini/Pettiti)
5th TE/FB (loser of Polite/Curtis)
5th Safety (loser of Elam/Coleman)
5th OLB (winner of Singleton/Glymph)
5th ILB (loser of Hoyte/Fowler)
4th Guard (Batiste)

With Flo's knee still not 100 percent, Basiste doesn't make it and Petitti isn't going anywhere. Hoyte going to look good on the PS.

Kinda silly to say Pettiti won't make the team when Parcells has already said he is the swing. As previously stated Glymph is doubtful. Copper is outta here. We only keep 4 CBs. Batiste won' make the 53 man roster. PS, traded, or whatever. Gurode can play guard in a pinch. Prolly have to keep Suisham. Woud not be surprised to see Singleton traded.

I think I'm agreement with you on everything except I think Green makes it over Copper to be the 6th WR/KR. Also, I think Suisham makes it at the expense of Fabini, Singleton or Hoyte (Hoyte makes my team; Singleton makes Parcell's).

I might be wrong, but I think you only have 52 on that dallasfan. So you can add one more player. :) Fabini? Singleton? Curtis? Copper? Elam?

Suisham has to be on at least the practice squad to save Vandy's leg during the week.

That's a pretty good point. Looks like I have to do some more adjusting.

You know I was torn between Copper and Green as well.

I think at this point BP knows what Copper will give him, a solid possesion receiver and a very good special teamer.

The same cannot be said for Green. Unless he just has a monster night I think Green is PS bound.

Won't we be able to carry 53 plus M. Coleman until he comes back after the suspension?

I believe that Coleman has to be on a 53 man roster to start the season. He can then be placed on an inactive list and the roster spot can be used until he returns. The problem with that strategy is you have to expose someone to the waiver wire to get him on the team. Of course, I could be wrong.
