Interesting stat, I’d be curious to know how that stacks up against league norm?

I’d guess that 3rd down is where the majority of sacks happen just because it’s so often an obvious passing down but don’t really know.

counter point,

you have to get them into 3rd/4th and obvious, Defense is paying well to out them in those situations in the first place then close the deal. Think hard if they were 2020 defense, they be giving up first downs every other down. lol they got better in 21 and maybe even better in year 2 of quinns defense.

He's not as good but he's a all pro cb. Didn't see too many dbs play as good as him on Sunday. Mike Evans had one good catch on a obvious pushoff

Unless you have information that show how often he rushed on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, those data are useless.

This could simply be a product of him rushing more on 3rd and 4th. He might actually be a worse pass rusher in terms of success on 3rd and 4th. We don't know because we don't have the information to evaluate the claim properly.

No, it is not dumb.

If he rushed twice as much on 3rd and 4th and he did on 1st and 2nd ... a very likely scenario, then his win percentage would actually be worse on 3rd and 4th compared to 1st and 2nd.

Statistics require context and have no value without.
