If Jenkins is on the team, then who is the 5th CB?

If Jenkins gets traded, then who is the 4th and 5th CBs?

It's probably a 2 man race right now between Butler and Teddy Williams...but it's very likely that someone could be signed as cuts are made through training camp. I wouldn't be shocked if there's a corner on the roster on opening day who isn't on the roster right now.

Carr, Brandon - Starter, probably on the left side.

Claiborne, Morris - Most likely starter on the right side.

Scandrick, Orlando - Slot CB.

Jenkins, Mike - Might not be healthy for the 1st game, might get traded.

Williams, Teddy - Raw athlete. Fastest and biggest at 6-3.

Butler, Mario - Not a great athlete, but played well last pre-season.

Wilson, C.J. - Played for the Panthers for 4.5 years without a start. Reported to be better in zone than man coverage.

Madison, Isaac - UDFA. Should be easy to slide to the Practice Squad.

Smith, Lionel - UDFA. Should be easy to slide to the Practice Squad.


After the top 4, T. Williams is the only one that might get signed to another teams active roster, if cut. I don't know if he can be on the PS again.

I think Isaac Madison has a fair shot at joining those two in the race for a spot(s).

Would love to see Williams win it because of his size/speed, but I'm not sure he isn't still a little raw to be relied on.

I still don't understand why we let Bryan McCann go. He could contribute on special teams and he seemed to have a knack for making a big play when we really needed it.

Maybe never would have been a great starting player, but he was a very nice backup to have as the 4th/5th guy.

butler all day. sure teddy is fast, but i dont think he could stick with a wide receiver the way butler could.

Exactly, I can’t believe that more people are not aware that this is the key to the season. I guess the media is just to lazy to figure it out.

McCann made more plays in 1 game than Alan Ball made in 4 years.

It's just that time of year. We can either talk about the 5th CB or talk about the next fictional team that is going to trade two 1st rounders for Mike Jenkins.
