26 Dalton Kincaid
TE | Utah

Early on, I was not thinking of going TE at 26. However, I have been warming up to the thought of Dalton Kincaid at 26. He'd be a nice safety valve for Dak, and he's got some deep threat ability.

58 Siaki Ika
DL | Baylor

We need a NT, and he's a big NT. He may not have had the best combine, but I don't need my NTs to be that athletic. I just need them to be able to clog the middle, stop the run, and have the wherewithal to bat down a ball that is heading their way. That's what Ika does, and he'd give us a nice rotation with Hankins.

90 Devon Achane
RB | Texas A&M

Fast running back with return ability to rotate with Turpin? Sign me up! Especially with us going to the WCO.

129 Nick Broeker
IOL | Mississippi

Nick Broeker is depth at left guard or tackle.

169 Jake Moody
K | Michigan

Replaces Maher

212 Jaxson Kirkland
OT | Washington

Gets rid of Josh Ball as he'd be improved depth at tackle

244 Stetson Bennett IV
QB | Georgia

Developmental QB that can compete for the 3rd QB spot and develop into a possible starting option.

I like the Kirkland pick. A top OL(G) who projects better at Tackle in the NFL. Provides flexibility and depth.

Thank you. Yes, I think having some flexible linemen picks in the midrounds provide us with good depth, and that is never a bad thing.

He isnt that old, but the bad back is a real thing. Supposedly he should be 100% for offseason work, but didn't work out at his pro day because of it so the risk should be taken seriously. Still I have to believe the back injury is a reason why Kincaid might be available for the Cowboys at 26, and not a reason to expect him to drop farther down draft boards. The ceiling for the guy seems to be pretty massive as he gets some NFL comps to Ertz and Kelce for his abilities as a receiver.
He was cleared to work out a little less than a week before his pro day. The reason he didn’t work out at his pro day is that he hadn’t had time to prepare and work out for his pro day so he just declined. It was the smart thing to do, and I’m sure his agent told him not to because without having a enough time to prepare, you’re not going to work out your best.

He was just there to interview with teams.

It wasn’t because there is any issue with his back, nor was it because he didn’t want to re-injure it. There is no risk of re-injuring it once he got the ok to work out. It was just a small fracture in his transverse process. It didn’t have anything to do with his spine. It isn’t something like a herniated or slipped disk. It is just a piece of bone that a muscle attached to. Kincaid didn’t work out because he simply hadn’t had enough opportunity to prepare for the pro day. I don’t blame him one bit. I wouldn’t have done it either.

Like Daniel Jeremiah said the other day on the NFL Network: NFL GM’s and scouts know full well how good Kincaid is and what he can do. Kincaid put so much good game film out that team’s are fine with him not working out at his pro day.

What is the history of small running backs
I think it moreso weight than anything else. I can't remember if true or not, but the track record of sub-200 lb RBs in the NFL is not good. There are some exceptions but for the most part, RBs at the top in the league are pretty much above 200lbs. Don't quote me on this.

Don’t hate it. Gotta take a better/bigger back tho. To me Achane is redundant to Pollard and probably can’t be trusted for pass pro on 3rd down.

And way too early for a kicker in this draft. None of these kickers are can’t miss studs. Give me a LB or CB instead

A kicker at 169? Good grief. Somehow I doubt the highest guy on their board is a kicker then.
Maybe, maybe not, but reality is that is where kickers are getting drafted these days. Since 2016 we've only had 5 Kickers get drafted after round 5, 8 kicker drafted rounds 5 or earlier. I have no idea, especially with them already trading two of their later picks if the Cowboys would even entertain a K in the draft, but if your strategy is to draft one then you need to be prepared to get one early.
