6 Cowboys players in contract years entering 2025 NFL season

Did I stutter IMO, Which by the way a lot of chatter on the street and Cowboys nations say the same thing they agree with me this man is becoming another Trayvon Diggs injured playing hero ball it's all or nothing getting interceptions or getting burned I didn't say he's getting burned a lot,

" what have you done for me lately"... That's the narrative for bland he's gonna have to prove it...

I say this guy has a lot to prove before he gets a bigger contract if he wants something too big he's leaving here just like Byron Jones I don't care any interceptions he had that one year I care about the other times last year and he was injured the year before it all matters...
Sorry, I have played and studied long enough to not follow along with current popularity contests. No, you are mistaken on comment and validity involved. That is now the 3rd time disagreed with. That is your statement, and not accepted by myself. Carry on...agreed with or not. I am entitled to observe and so state.

In an airport they will still make arrests based upon pass port discrepancies.

Jalen Tolbert, WR
Jalen Tolbert shook off a slow start to his career with a breakout campaign in 2024. He hauled in 49 receptions for 610 yards with seven touchdowns.
Tolbert isn’t an ideal WR2, but could be a high-end WR3. He might also be ready to cash in with another strong performance this year.

Sam Williams, DE
Sam Williams was in line for a larger role in his third season but a torn ACL suffered in training camp sent him to the IR. He’s an athletic freak, who could still make himself very rich if he picks up where he left off in 2023.

Jake Ferguson, TE
No player suffered more from the loss of Dak Prescott than Jake Ferguson. He wasn’t targeted as often by Cooper Rush, ending the season without a touchdown catch.

It seems, good men and women, that Tolbert's fate depends on Pickens' performance this season.
By January, we might have 2 good WRs from which to pick.
At this point, Pickens would be the leader (by reputation).
Bit I would not wave or trade Tolbert. Nothing wrong with a good third WR.

The common sense thing to do would be to wait until 5-6 games to see which players are trending towards highly productive seasons and sign them ASAP to keep them out of free agency while not falling victim to escalating salary expectations.

......but this is the Dallas Cowboys.

He is thinking about it he's thinking about he just paid Trayvon Diggs who has been nothing but consistently injured or playing hero ball you know all or nothing interceptions breaking on balls giving up big plays i'm not saying that's all he is but Deron Bland is becoming that you don't pay a guy big money for that you want to make him prove it this year i'm not paying the guy up front the only two would be Parsons and Tyler Smith don't be leaving out the real guy those two book it they're signed the rest of them are all in the prove it mode...

You want to blame Jerry for being gun shy with contracts I mean it seems like every time he pays a guy they end up injured all the time and then gone they end up having a bad year right after I mean let's give him some great he's trying to pay a lot of guys big money he has a right to wait and see..

Again yeah if you wanted to get him focused the only two that deserve a contract right now no doubt you don't have to think about it tyler Smith and Parsons...
Diggs problem has been injury. But personally if Diggs gets back and plays well I’d trade him for picks

Ditto and I'm disagreeing with your statement 4 time now..ironic

I don't need your validity to make mine more valid, we're both making opinions so? Believe it or not you may have had a stroke at one point or have some issues with personality disorders that you think you're more professional in here than the rest of us we're all just amateurs with opinions....happy happy joy joy TGIF!!

Please resign Bland and Parsons. Pickens in a wait and see kind of deal.
They're gonna resign Pickens. Too good a deal to get him for a 3rd rounder at 24 years of age and not have intentions to resign him. At the very least, they franchise him next year.

He would really have to screw it up.

I hope so. I don’t want to rent him out for a year but I also don’t want to lose Bland and Tyler Smith. But there’s members on this forum that have broken down the cap and said it is possible to keep all 3. If it’s possible then I want to keep, unless like you said he really screws it up. Like he really screws up the locker room or is a cancer. If we can keep him that would be like our big FA splurge we fans are always complaining about that the Jones never make.

I wouldn't put that in stone what do you mean he would have to screw it up no he doesn't not need to just be a Boy Scout he needs to produce he needs to actually show something on the field and if he does produce where does he put himself if he puts himself in the same league with the top five players and wants that money I'm not resigning a guy I will tag him make other teams come after him and order i'm gonna at least get a third round comp pick one way or the other we're gonna get some compensation for this guy,,,

You want to find out when the truth comes out when a man can't hide who he is it's when contract time comes if he believes he wants top five money but he's only offered money like DJ Moore or Brandon Iyuk or Devante Smith all players that he's in the league with not with the top guys if he doesn't want that 27 to maybe 30 million I'm not resigning the guy you know the Cowboys i'm just speaking what I know of Steven and Jerry Jones he's not getting T Higgin's money t Higgins could be a starter in this league in a benefit that what he got with Cincinnati to stay at number two,,

I don't know the details of that contract but it's a lot i'm thinking I would keep pickings if he has a solid year stays on good behavior i'm not giving him more than 30 million and I'm speaking again where I believe he should be but also remember we're talking about Jerry and Steven they're not going to pay two wide receivers excessive money that is a very reasonable AMari Cooper is gone he was not worth 22 million I agree with them but the number two the true number two here will have to take number two money...,

The only two contracts that are guaranteed to happen as of now that are up or soon to be up would be Tyler Smith and Michael Parsons that's it

bland is on the bubble ,although he's close to sure thing if he has a good season of getting resigned here..

There's a lot of others though that they better work really hard to convince Jerry to open up his wallet...
