On paper, seem like very solid signings for this team. Relatively young (Carr, OG, ILB). Filled a bunch of needs. Change in attitude. Some upside still.

Healthier at CB and FB too. Fiametta was a concern with concussions as likeable as he is and he did well for us. Carr hasn't missed a game in his 6 seasons has he? Can't say that about Jenkins and Scandrick and certainly not Newman.

Pool probably has a bit more athletic ability than Elam.

Upgrades in youth and upside and YES for depth!

A good draft and a couple more FA's (WR?, situational pass rushing vet?) - this likely a significantly upgraded roster.

Fiametta didn't have concussions, it was found out to be an inner ear infection.

I heard it reported that he had concussions in prior seasons to last year, but Cowboys or he himself said it was inner ear infection last year.

We wanted Fiametta back, but he wanted more money, and then the other guy became available and he is bigger, also proven, and less of a risk.

There is concern on this board at least, that inner ear thing might have been an "excuse".

Tough to sign a FB long term if he has a history of frequent concussions. Human battering ram!

That's really good. The key is solid youth coming in. The youth aspect will help in December. If Dallas can get OC Wells, I would consider trading down in the draft to get quality players.

He did have concussion issues previously.

I loved Fiam.--but he had more than an inner ear infection--it took weeks for the best Drs. JJ could buy to know that? he could go to the free clinic to figure that out--
