Great points.

I dont know how something so obvious can go unnoticed by so many.

Props for pointing it out.

I'm very concerned about the pass defense. They can't seem to cover man-to-man because their technique is weak and in zone they get confused. Heck– what's left?

I really cant express how dissapointed I was and am that we lost brandon williams. Watching him in camp he seemed like a guy already with the ability to hit the qb and make plays.

not buying it....no matter how small the sample size...this defense should NEVER be ranked 30th....NEVER. How long has it taken Rex Ryan to get his boyz to ball? Every guy you mentioned has been here long enough (except Igor and Brookings)....and both of those 2 have played for Wade before. The problem with this defense is MOST of them are "just guys".

If that's the case, name the players on the Jets defense that are not just guys. Then extrapolate and compare both teams.

The biggest thing I'm worried about right now is our pass rush.

Only 3 new guys though Guys who have been on the team for more than a year aren't exactly new. Olshanksy and Brookings have played under Wade.

Really just leaves Sensy as the only guy coming fresh in and hes probably been playing as well as anyone not named Ratliff.

Compared to last year, there's probably fewer new guys. You had Pacman, Thomas, and I guess you could count Tank seeing how he jumped in so late the previous year. And you also gotta factor in the rotation at safety after RW went down.

I just don't think this has much to do with it. The front 7 are practically the same. Igor probably knows Wade's system as good as anyone and Keith is an upgrade over Thomas so there's no real difference in terms of the guys up front. No sacks.

I don't believe for a second it's because of Ellis. You might be able to say Greg would have had a sack but there's no way he was such a big part of the pass rush that he himself is the difference between leading the league in sacks and being worst in sacks.

I don't know what the problem on D is. I don't think any player out there is playing with confidence really. The secondary sure isn't. The secondary is playing scared, big time.

Whatever the problem is, it needs to get figured out quick.

Nobodies Defense looks great yet. He will simplify it like last year and it will get better. Good Post.

I think our pass D was bad, but the more I watch the reply of that steve smith TD I'm convinced Deion wouldn't have stopped that play. That was one of the best route/moves that I've seen a WR make. We all want to make excuses but the Giants WRs were better in that game.

I don't think their technique was bad last year though. It just seemed like they were confused and overthinking or something against the Giants. And having a bunch of new players can make zone a little confusing because if you're new and not used to Newman you aren't sure exactly where he'll be, and he's not sure exactly where the other corner is so it's harder to figure out what's going on...I think the secondary will settle down and get better.

The only thing I really worry about is the tackling. That issue goes back to last year...

Why even bother complicating it if you can roll out a top notch defense running generic plays.

There something more to the Defense being off right now. I'd like to wish upon a star it was so simple as dumbing the plays down but I don't think it is.
