Yes UNT right down the road from SMU . Be a natural and I realize SMU has stepped up its game in recent yrs but everyone has to schedule non conf opponents .

I watched the UNT highlights and it seemed most of those yards came after the catch on short throws with horrible tackling (by both teams in fact) that turned short gains in to long plays.

Don't get me wrong, 608 yards is still a lot of freaking yards .. and he had one long guaranteed touchdown pass dropped by a wide open receiver that would have added a lot more ..

Beating LSU like that at LSU is extremely impressive while Texas struggled to beat a non-ranked team that required a huge comeback and overtime to win.

Funny how the pre-season #1 team was Texas and now Texas A&M is gaining ground on that ranking.

Good news at SMU a Rhett Lashlee deal to keep him with the Ponies 6 more yrs as one of the highest paid coaches in college ball , He’s doing a fantastic job making SMU relevant had them ranked in the teens most of last year .

Mestemaker signed for 2 yrs 7 million $ to join Morris in Stillwater at OSU his former UNT coach . Be interesting to see how that program does with key UNT transplants HC & QB .

I think that freshman RB Hawkins had about 200 yards rushing when they beat San Diego St in a bowl game , UNT 49-47 . Quite a night .

And SMU hung on to beat # 17 Arizona 24-19 , nice going by improved local programs .

This is already changing things; a lot of players are going to stay in college longer now. NIL is a sure thing; the pros are a gamble for anyone.

Ok St has plenty of oil money and history. They just need the right leadership at HC.
