6th Annual Beat the Skins Tailgate!

Now that we're in the homestretch, I wanted to put out details about my

6th Annual Beat the Skins Tailgate

at Fed Ex Field on December 27th.

It's always a great event with plenty of good Cowboys fans and hopefully some faithful CowboysZoners joining us as well.

All are welcome... as always, I provide the setup (grill, coolers, tent, heater, generator, etc), as well as beer and dogs for anyone who wants to show up. Although anyone is welcome to bring stuff they want to grill up, drink or share as well.

Skinsmaniac is also supposed to be contributing some beer to the event to pay off a long overdue bet.

Right now, the game is scheduled for Sunday night at 8:20. There's a possibility the game could be "flexed" but given that it's the Cowboys, I kinda doubt it.

That means the parking lots will open around 4:00, which is when we'll be setting up.

This year, I have an Orange parking pass. I'll be setting up in the Orange lot off of Morgan Boulevard, which makes it very convenient to anyone who wants to take the metro to visit the tailgate. I'll be trying to set up right next to the road that runs between the lot and the stadium, as indicated in the map below, as there are some spaces with extra room there.

I had a chance to go and now I can't. Not only did a Commanders fan welch on a bet to get me 2 tickets, but also when I was offered a ticket by Danny I was making plans to go and my wife got summoned to Federal jury duty. I couldn't get a flight that got me home in time to get her there and allow me to take care of the kids.

Now that I guess it's official that the game won't be flexed, we'll be kicking off the tailgate around 4:00-4:30.

I may have a couple of extra tickets, so if anyone's interested in coming to the game, PM me. I only need to recoup my cost, which is face value.

Obviously, this could be one of the biggest games of the year for the Cowboys. Hopefully lots of Cowboys fans show up and turn this into a home-field advantage!
