Ok so Dak makes a pro bowl and it’s meaningless and if he misses one it means he sucks lol? Y’all are weird with when pro bowls matter to you and when they don’t. I bet if he’s an alternate it won’t matter then huh.

Also, dude missed 5 games lol it’s pretty hard to make the pro bowl as the primary as a QB missing that many games. Stats are less gaudy also, but then again I thought wins meant more? Idk goalpost is always moving so beats me.
It's about agendas Gill....

Good for them

but the Pro Bowl is a joke after intitial selections.
By the time players opt out or miss for other reasons you end up getting guys way down the list

1) Martin is the true "Mr Cowboy" on the current roster. Parsons is the popular new guy and fan favorite but for now Martin is still THE guy.
2) Lawrence ....love this player. A good (often very good) player loyal to the Cowboys. I feel he has been jerked around by Jones & Son some with 2 franchise tags and offered a silly pay cut last off season.
3) Parsons..heir apparent to "Mr Cowboy". Lock for all pro along with Martin.
4 &5) Diggs & Lamb...good young talents deserving of the honor.
6) Pollard....finally!!! He has moved to the top of the Cowboy depth chart at RB. Happy for him.
7) Turpin...nice. Special teams are so important.

I'm not sure many fans/media noticed but at least one Pro Bowl appearance is a major prerequisite Stephen uses on whether or not to offer/award 2nd contracts. I did a quick research last year and found LVE is the only player in the last 10 years who hasn't gotten a 2nd contract offer although he has at least one Pro Bowl under his belt. My point is Parsons and Diggs are keepers but this ( Pro Bowl ) validates Lamb also can expect new contract. Pollard is a wild card, I'm not they will ever give another RB a long-term deal after what's happened with Zeke BUT IMO the Pro Bowl all but guarantees he's getting the tag unless he's willing to a take low-ball long-term offer. The bottom line, I do not see them letting Pollard walk until 2024 min.

I would skip it, not because of injury or some other reason, but merely because I would rather be playing in the game a week later. Players who have a passion for winning don't give 2 spits about the pro bowl. It's basically the losers bowl.

Fully agree. I remember Trubisky and Prescott both got in as replacements a few years back when neither deserved it on their performance levels from that season. It's embarrassing and undermines the point of rewarding excellence and elite level play.

If someone gets in as a replacement there should be an * by their name so people know they were an also ran and pure backup not a legitimate pro bowler.
