7 Cowboys ruled out for Eagles game, 6 listed questionable

The Cowboys ruled out seven players — CB Morris Claiborne (groin), DT Tyrone Crawford (shoulder, hamstring), LB Justin Durant (elbow), DE Demarcus Lawrence (back), DT Terrell McClain (ankle), T Tyron Smith (knee) and DT Cedric Thornton (ankle) — so they won’t have any tough decisions to make on their inactive list. CB Anthony Brown (concussion), DE Jack Crawford (foot), DE Randy Gregory (abdomen), G Ronald Leary (back), LB Sean Lee (knee) and RB Darren McFadden (illness) drew questionable designations.

It is imperative we get through this game without anybody else sustaining any kind of significant injury. 6 of the players ruled out are on the defensive side of the ball; only Tyron is on offense. 4 of the guys listed as questionable are defenders as well.

Let's all hope the week of rest during the Wild Card weekend bye allows these 10 defenders to get ready for a 3 game playoff run.

I know that one might wish to have all starters to maintain intensity levels and finishing the black 'n blue December, but the team now also has to build for the most aggressive two game run, in three weeks from today.

To me just get through the game keep it close and competitive. Get some experience for the backups and a quick in and out for whatever starters play. A W would be great but an injury free conclusion to the season will be enough

Lee said he wants to play every snap of every game. Somebody needs to explain to him that he can take this game off and still play every snap of at least 16 games.

Lee said he wants to play every snap of every game. Somebody needs to explain to him that he can take this game off and still play every snap of at least 16 games.

Doesn't he have an incentive laden contract based on playing time, games, snaps? Not sure if he's maxed all that out yet for the season or not.

Hope he starts the game and at least plays a little bit though. I know how much playing a full 16 games would mean to him after all the rough pat hes early in his career.

Two sides of the coin...Dak not playing, if true, seems like an issue in keeping him sharp for the playoffs. However, with a makeshift O-Line not having him in there is probably the best way to protect him.
I'd rather not risk Philly physically breaking one of our stars. We don't know how bitter they are and what they might see as a gain in this game.
