After watching Niswander #7 with kicking duties, I did a double take when #7 ran onto the field as QB!
Couldn't believe what I saw, was DiNucci kicking or was Niswander a QB? I checked the Cowboys roster and discovered that Hunter Niswander and Ben DiNucci BOTH wear #7!!
Since when do they put the same number on 2 different players??:omg:
Am I missing something? First time I've ever seen that.

There are two number 6s as well. I would imagine with the jersey number changes it’s harder to fill the 1-19s without duplicates. They will change soon

Son-of-a-gun, your right. Donovan Wilson and Johnnie Dixon both #6. LOL

But, but, if they cut DiNucci we won't have a kicker! :muttley:
Yep cut number 7 and they are both gone looks like we will keep both. I think they are trying to find a way to keep 2 more players than they are allowed to.

90 players + retired numbers so teams can run out during the preseason. Once they cut down to 53 then you will not see it.

If I was given a jersey number presently worn by another on the team then I would be extremely nervous. It kind of tells you that one of you isn't going to be around but that other guy has already been around. Apparently the coaching staff didn't put a lot of effort into finding him a unique number.

It's kind of like saying, "Eh! Why bother?"

They could fix it easily by adding a letter. W7 and A7 - Whiskey 7 and Alpha 7 sound so cool.

Positions have a block of numbers to choose from. WR and TE used to have to share something like 80-89. If one had more than 10 WRs and TEs one would have to choose a number from a different block. They opened the blocks up now so Jaylon can choose 9 and Wilson can choose 6 and the other Wilson can choose 1.

Brady said it will take some time to get used to the numbers. Brady might mistake #9 as a DB and #6 as a LB.

Two players with the same number happens all the time in preseason. IIRC they've been doing that since the late 80's.
