JSmith is like a top 10 pick

Then trade 28 for an early 2nd and 3rd

Learn from Belichick, he always moves in and out of 1st round for extra picks

It's a common misconception that Belichick is an expert drafter. He isn't.

What he's good at is manipulating trades and acquiring free agents, which are both things that are easier when you're winning because teams want your players and players want to play for you.

Do we get any Comp picks this year? Guys around here are usually pretty accurate

None this year, and only player that may get a comp pick next year is Leary. Unless someone over pays one of our FA's. Like Sanchez...:muttley:
Possibly we get picks for Mo or Carr, or even DMC or Escobar.
Butler or TWill may get a late round as well.

We have around 20 FA's, and I expect 8 to 10 of these to be re-signed by us.

As I said some team may pay for a few the get us some comp picks, but can't have anymore than 4.
T. McClain...even Ro. McClain...LOL...j. Crawford, as well as those mentioned above.
Church, Wilcox, R. Ash, J. Cooper, Gackhar, Durant, Dunbar.

No one stands out to net us anything higher than 7th rounders except Leary, maybe a 4th at best for him.

What he has learned is picks are scratch off tickets..... the more you get the better the chance of winning.......he is always picking at the bottom of round one and routinely trades back for more picks...... he track record is as good as anyone when he doesn't reach for WRs

Yup. For all the crowing about how great the Patriots draft, they miss on just as many picks as everyone else. But they never forget the one rule of drafting - ALL picks are a gamble so the only way to be sure to stack the odds is to get as many picks as possible, (within reason before the clowns on here say so do we trade our first for 13-7ths).
