I like the WR in the 2nd rd, he is a bigger guy. Maybe Dez, can help him out, since it looks like he is maturing.

But, two DTs and 2 S?!?!

Wow! Josh is a good guy. But no, that's not very realistic, I think.

OP has it right....not realistic.

I've never once even seen Patterson fall out the 1st round, let alone all the way to 47.

Rambo is supposedly "in the box", so out fo the equation.

But in fantasy land, I'd take those 1st three picks all day long.

I think that most guys that do a full 7 round mock, start off by making a list of where they think players will be drafted. After they have their list in place, they go back and tweak it to match the teams.

Most of the tweaking is probably in the 1st and 2nd rounds. After that, they probably just match draft position to their list.

0 chance we have a 7th round pick without moving down.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Patterson fall out of the first round. His biggest impact is likely to be in the kicking game. His route running and understanding of the game is supposed to be at a very remedial level, and a lot of work is going to be necessary to make him a functional wideout.

IMO, a lot of teams will pass on him, because help in the kickoff game isn't enough to warrant a first round selection--and they will want more immediate help from a first round pick.

Of course if you can develop him, he could be special.

What would surprise me would be if Dallas took him in the second. He is boom or bust in a big way. I have no idea where they value him in terms of draft round vs risk/reward. It probably varies widely within the organization...

Don't see Patterson as boom or bust...only behind the curve in some areas.
What you say about his route-running is true.

The thing is, he has the skill set that allows him to still be useful as a WR while he's honing those skills.
Big, strong, tall, fast,...his catch radius is the size of a school bus.

You can give him very basic routes and he can still win enough battles to be useful.
And his upside is preposterous.

At 47, I'd take him. But 47 is out of the question.

There are soe great values at WR in rounds 2-4 anyway.
