No simulator, just good ol’ fashioned gut feeling

Trade 12, 211 & 217 to Seattle for 18, 82
& 92- Seahawks get aggressive with their extra draft capital (2 picks in 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 7th) to help new franchise QB Sam Darnold. OL, WR, and Warren in play at 12 for them

Trade 174 & 204 to Cincinnati for 153- No real reason for this 1 other than wanting a higher pick…and Cincinnati is famously cheap so the extra cheap labor helps them.

18- Luther Burden III WR Mizzu- Explosive WR with RB ability once the ball in his hands. Can be used as a vertical threat or as a weapon in screens/jet sweeps/any way to get the ball in his hands with space.

My player comp: DJ Moore

44- Shavon Revel JR CB East Carolina- Long rangy CB with more than adequate athletic ability and high level ball skills. Can use his length to jam at the line and play press man and can read and react in zone. If he didn’t suffer the ACL tear and got a chance to play at the Sr Bowl there’s a good chance he’d be on the Quinyon Mitchell trajectory right now.

My player comp: Riq Woolen

76- Smael Mondon JR LB Georgia- Athletic WIL that can fly around the field sideline to sideline with coverage ability. Battle tested in the SEC as a leader of the Georgia D.

My player comp: DeMarvion Overshown

82- Dylan Sampson RB Tennessee- Compact, do it all, workhorse back. Runs with good patience, vision and pad level with enough speed to break into the 2nd level.

My player comp: JK Dobbins

92- Cam Jackson DT Florida- Behemoth of a NT with some surprising burst and athletic ability to overwhelm o-linemen. May never be a 3 down player, but has the potential to impact the game in short spurts.

My player comp: DaQuan Jones

149- Elijah Roberts DE SMU- Big DE with very good college production. Not the fastest but uses his hands and long arms very well to fight off blockers. Has the potential to be a solid rotational base DE.

My player comp: Chauncey Golston

153- Branson Taylor OG Pitt- College OT that probably doesn’t have the length or foot speed to stay at OT in the NFL, but brings a nasty demeanor in run game to think he can play OG.

My player comp: Ezra Cleveland

239- Rivaldo Fairweather TE Auburn- Athletic TE/Big slot WR. Will need to learn to block better to carve out a role, but has potential as a receiving option

My player comp: Brevin Jordan

247- Jalen White RB Georgia Southern- Powerful 6’0 220 pound small school RB with decent burst. Team captain

My player comp: Chris Rodriguez Jr

*player comps are best case scenario

Free agents I would sign after draft-

Marcus Williams FS- Long time starter on some really good Ravens and Saints defenses. Has been banged up, but still only 28 and is a good CF type FS when healthy. Could easily push the very mediocre Hooker out.

Demarcus Walker DE- Solid contributor for Eberflus in Chicago the past 2 years. Good chance he would win the SDE job and complete the DLine

Asante Samuel Jr- Slot/Nickle CB is a very important position and I’m not sure we have a clear starter there after the departure of Lewis. Samuel Jr can do the job well if he can stay on the field.

Good draft. My only note, swap Cam Jackson and Elijah Roberts picks. I don't think Jackson goes on day 2.

I really like the FA signings. I doubt Dallas will pay what Asante is asking for but it would be nice to have him here.

You could be right that I’m a little high on Jackson, but he’s a traits guy I’d be willing to gamble on in the late 3rd. If we miss getting 1 of Grant, T. Williams, Collins, or Farmer at 1 tech I personally like Jackson the best as the next guy that can have an impact on our run D.

And after an injury plagued year and still being available at this point, Samuel Jr is probably looking at a 1 year prove it deal. We have like $30M in cap space left, there’s no risk in giving him what he wants for 1 year. You’re right that Jerry/Stephen could say otherwise though
