7 seed will have to go to either Philly or SF for WC Weekend is it even worth it?

It’s a fanbase of quitters.
People are sick of the same story every single year and are done with expending so much emotional energy.

I for one am pretty much giving up on this season - they cant beat good teams, but they will beat up on mediocre teams and there might just be enough wins there to get them into the postseason....however they are going to get throttled and no shot to win it all...

Great job at proving my point!

Nope, this team is soft and not built for playoff football on the road in January (much less September/October). The only way this team could ever luck into a deep playoff run is if they had a #1 seed season like 2016

Lol. That’s your retort? I’m not the one pretending I know what will or won’t happen.
So you have a problem with people predicting things based off what they've seen in the past? okay then. Maybe you're not a fit for this board.

Did you have a problem when a lot of people on this board thought we were the 85 Bears after 2 weeks or was that okay because it was "positive"?

Actually, it’s amusing to see fully grown adults throw a tantrum over football.

I look a last year's Niners and Bengals as examples that it's too early to give up. Both of those teams were at or under .500 by mid October and turned it around. It's just too early to give up. I know it's easy to do that right now but as a fan I've always been taught to never give up until it is out of the team's control. Right now they still control everything in front of them. It's up to the players and coaches to do that.

Then Jerry Jones who isn't very smart thinks everything is fine we're a playoff team and extends Dak.

I am just ruling out us winning the division that belongs to Phillly barring an injury to Hurts. I'm sure someone will argue how we're only in Week 5 I don't care I've seen enough.

Maybe we could get #5 or #6, but #7 gets either Philly or SF (whoever is the #2 seed) in their house. GL with that. Dak has shown throughout his career he cannot go on the road and beat a good team in a big team. He often can't do it at home.
The Cowboys can beat Philly. Have no shot vs SF. Just the way it is for now.

I’ve learned it’s better to just watch the games and appreciate the good moments as they come. I don’t pretend to know what will happen. It could be great, or it could be terrible. I’m disappointed as much as anyone, but I don’t think it’s healthy to spread misery like so many want to do here. It’s not only not healthy, it becomes toxic over time.

It’s sports after all. Not the most important thing in the world.

Absolutely. Dallas just knows how to beat Philly. I'm not exactly sure why but Philly has struggled with Dak and Dallas for a good 5 years now. It doesn't mean Dallas is better overall but they just know how to beat Philly. Same thing with the Commanders. They were close to beating the Eagles and then get blown out by Chicago. Go figure?
Yet somehow Philly is 3-1 vs. the 49ers since 2017. Gotta love the NFL.

I love how the premise of this post is built on Jerry not extending dak because we miss the playoffs. Jerry is gonna extend him no matter what

For some reason, whether it be division foe familiarity or something else, we have no problem playing Philly and actually beating them. So I'd be okay with Philly.

After last night's extremely convincing defeat by SF for the 3rd time, I want no part of them.
its 50/50 in the last 20 years thats true, but dont talk like you own the eagles, like you beat on the gmen or the skins.
