Over the last two seasons:

71% of passes thrown to people not named Dez Bryant were complete.
Only 52% of throws to Dez were completions.
98% of those passes were thrown by Dak Prescott.

Those percentages were virtually the same in both years, by the way. Last year didn't skew the rates versus 2016. The biggest difference was the percentage of targets that went to Dez (27% in 2017 vs 22% in 2016).

I'll take in-game statistics over throwing at highway cones and trash cans, but I'm funny that way.

Is this supposed to be a knock of Dez or a knock on Dak for forcing bad throws to a covered receiver?

Or the coaches for watching Dak force bad passes to a covered receiver week after week and not 'coaching him up' and making it stop...

Or could this be a young second year QB under pressure with no real running game and a slow group of WR not able to get open..so he forces the ball to the guy with the best ball skills?

maybe possibilities.

I think it has to do with Garrett winning an accuracy competition. to be honest. Dak probably lost it on purpose for fear of showing up coach and losing his job.

We used to play broom the mailbox/trash can and bumper hitch when we were kids. Good stats

Percentage of total throws isnt also an indication of catchable passes.

I love my Cowboys, but gotta be real....Dez might not have been good last year but Dak also had a bad year.

That's because most of that 71% percent were five yards away from him.

This is what plagued Dak more than anything last year. Too much focus on getting Dez his touches. Thank goodness that problem is gone.

But can Dak accurately throw a football through a tire? These are things elite QBs are made of
