If the Cowboys can get passed the first three weeks of the season undefeated, it's a real possibility to get to New York 8-0.

Calm down there Cowboy, ;)

I believe in taking one game at a time... Cleveland will give Dallas all they can handle, that's for sure.

The Giants realistically could be sitting at 7-0 or 6-1 when we roll into town. They only two tough matchups they have before us would be @ Cleveland and @ Pittsburgh.

This is going to be a huge game. I wonder if this game is flex eligible?

It's not that I mind optimism, it's just that the people who power these types of threads are usually the 1st ones who go supernova when a less than ideal reality sets in.

The fact is I consider the 1st 4 games of our season to be as tough a stretch as we'll see all season and would be beyond elated if our Boys go 4-0 through it. In fact 3-1 would make me very proud.

We're at an up and coming Cleveland team with a high powered offense that made the playoffs last year for our 1st game, the 2nd at home against a Philly bunch that has a lot to prove and who's made it a habit of handing us our lunch for the better part of a decade, at a 13-3 Packer team from last year for game 3, and game 4 against our arch rivals who historically you can throw out the records and how well each team ends up faring that season as far as it pertains to the final score.

Continue to be optimistic if you like, I am as well, but try and temper that feeling with the reality that we could start 2-2 or even 1-3 and still have a fantastic season. These are damn hard games we start out with.

When have you ever seen me do that?

I don't go super nova though. I admit to going ballistic. And it doesn't have to be an optimism thread.

I'll be waiting. ;)

In all seriousness if it doesn't work out the way you envision I know you'll look at the bigger picture and still see hope and your outlook will encompass that broader scope ... but some, maybe even a lot won't.

No big deal whether they do or don't it doesn't affect the play on the field one way or the other, but as for the discussions on this forum ...

Some are grasshoppers. Great on distance but they suck on direction.

Well we're fans so we can dream, but I hope the players aren't thinking 8-0 or they'll end up 0-8.

I really hope the players don't have your mentality. If you overlook any team in this league, you are foolish.

Let us not worry about 8-0 and New York. Lets just focus on worrying about being 1-0 after we leave Cleveland.
