8/20 Cowboys Break with Ro McClain had Steve Dennis gushing

Several people have stated he is all in. The weird thing is this conditioning aspect. Mike Fisher keeps harping on it as does Broaddus. I would think after 2-3 weeks of camp he would be in some semblance of condition.

They talk about it in the interview and Steve mentions it on the 8-20 Lunchbreak.

Lol That's not what mick spagnola said . But if he is splitting 1st teams reps with hitchens that's not too positive . Hitchens has been our worst player this whole preseason .
I read it here...

But it seems there was a bit of misinformation

That said, I'm not sure where you're reading that Hitchens has been bad. I've been reading just the opposite. From all the reports I've seen, he's been solid.

2-3 weeks of practice - with limited reps due to having to sit out practices (soreness, etc) - AFTER 1.5 years off is NOT enough time for football shape. Football shape takes players who participated in the entire OTA's 3-4 weeks to get to football shape. A guy who missed 1.5 years???? Probably will hit football shape around Week 3-4 - regular season.

What did he say about the conditioning?

Talked about how sore he is. He's doing everything he can to play through it. He felt like he was in high school again that first game against Baltimore. It's something he has to mentally overcome until his body catches up (paraphrase). He's going to do it because he doesn't want to let his Boys (team mates down).

He was out of shape in Oakland, as well.

It shouldn't take too much longer into a season, before his comments are seen as from a professional. To the Cowboys fans...one of theirs.

Well, I'm glad for you that Dennis' word is all you need to be assured. Me, I need more than that. I want to see it for myself.

Dennis is reporting from the interview he conducted. I am elated from that report. I will take his word any day before I rest on the prognostication from the Zoneologists :D They've got RoMc taking off his pants and walking off the field in the middle of the SF game.

It kind of is weird though that some fans will take a journalists word for it when the writer is spelling out doom for a Dallas player, and then they won't have any of it when the same journalist says something good about a player.

It is counter-intuitive. Couldn't be disingenuous though.

Not agenda driven, that's for sure.

If the Cowboys would actually win instead of having the same types of disappointing seasons year after year while making the same mistakes every offseason then you would see the negative comments disappear.

It's impossible to have high expectations for this team until they actually do something on the field that gives us hope.

Right now we're finally going to field a great offense with a good playcaller.

On defense we're completely rebuilding and most likely running a scheme that any elite QB can pass for 300+ yards and 3 TD's on by default.

Wining cures everything.

It's been so long..so long..

I thought Dennis beat out JJT as most despised reporter around here...am I remembering this wrong?

I don't think anyone is worried about him going Frank the Tank. But thanks for the visual

I feel you. Plus, Dennis does have some unflattering history with some Cowboys.
