The niners have the tie-breaker and detroits schedule is cake. I'm gonna be so dejected if 11-5 doesn't get it done.

Anyone else notice there were two Eli's last night? He started out throwing darts. Then just before halftime he started feeling a pressure that wasn't always there. Waiting to be sacked. Need to emulate that against Sanchez and just sweep Philly.

Also want to reaffirm how much better this board is than any other cowboys boards.

I've been complimentary about Eli in the past, but it's hard not to see him as part of the problem right now. That INT was 100% him, and he just wilts under pressure now. At least i can understand the pressure thing - his OL is about as bad as ours was in 2012, so he's probably always hearing footsteps.

Also, the Catch, was a classic "eh, it's 1 on 1, I'll throw it up." I dunno if I've ever seen a QB as rewarded for that philosophy as Eli Manning. He's so good at just risking it on that matchup.

Better get used to it brother, this team could just as easily lose a majority of the remaining games and miss the playoffs as it could win the division. Even if they win out, every game will be meaningful because of the top heavy NFC.

NFC is tough. I think the Lions lose a min. of two games if not 3. They play the Bears twice and GB, last two are on the road, they stink on the road.

I'm not too concerned. We will win the conference. Eagles aren't as good as ppl think they are and and we match up well.

I thought this would be the game that ruined our season but the team surprised me. They have great fortitude

I think the bye week, reason was our d came out sluggish in that 1st half. 2nd half they showed up.

Sanchez doesn't put fear late in the game like Eli does. If we run the ball, control the clock and keep Philly's big plays to a minimum. Should be fine. Least I hope.

It's odd because, in most years, a few teams start out hot and then flameout towards the end while other teams start out slow and then build up steam as the season goes on. Thus far, in the NFC, no one has flamed out. Consequently, we have a gaggle of teams could finish 10–6 or 11–5 and not get into the playoffs.

We have games against Philly and the Colts game. We should win the other 2. Split with Philly and we are probably good for the playoffs. And Indy is a team we can beat also.

That said, he still threw 3 TD passes. Romo had one sail on him that might have been picked. The Cowboys were just more fortunate in the turnover area. In a close game it will often make the difference between winning and losing. Any turnover last night by Dallas would have likely spelled the end. Manning has 6 TD to 1 INT versus the Cowboys over the past two games. Romo? 7 TD 1 INT. It's pretty safe to say that Dallas really has no answers for him right now...not until the d-line gets more pressure and/or pass defense tightens up. Maybe you chalk up last night's game to the fact that they were definitely getting ahead of themselves with Philly (preparation), but it almost got away from them.

Its really the next 3 weeks. I thought the Cowboys would lose last night based on how the game was going - just had that feeling. Very pleased and relieved.

As bad as Eli is sometimes, he is always one throw away from ruining our night.

Pressure: the pressure of the game.. He has none,
Pressure of the defense, sure all QBs have issues with that.

That pas was high... Thank goodness.

Part of that is likely the horrible NFC South, which looks even worse than the NFC East of last year. I think we will see both Detroit and Arizona come down from their lofty highs, while Seattle and San Francisco beat up one another. We should be pulling for the Seahawks though, considering the tie-breaking procedures. The Niners still have red-zone woes and they barely escaped Washington, so coming opponents might hang around a bit longer against them. Green Bay is a virtual lock to win the NFC North, because I think they will get Detroit on the next go 'round...maybe they lose to NE, but I don't see who else. They will get a first-round bye, and heaven help who has to go there in January without a balanced offense and sharp defense.

and yet, the NFCS winner has a high likely hood of going into the play-offs with a losing record.

11 might not get it done but we would have a chance. At 10-6 theres no chance. I just wanna see what happens thursday. Philly is way better the the giants so lets hope the boys are ready. Commanders loss still looming and bugging me.

I will be hard pressed to believe that 11-5 doesn't make the playoffs. The Niners are not very good. Detroit's offense is putrid. And I think it is even questionable if Arizona makes it to 11-5 without Carson Palmer.

The defensive line was putrid for most of the games, but the coaching staff made good adjustments in the second half to hold the Giants to 7 points in the second half.

It looked like the idea was to keep Eli in the pocket. They seemed to want to take away the front of the pocket and not allow Eli to get out of the pocket either. The problem was we didn't get any penetration, particularly from the defensive end position.
