I like these we need get a new kicker statements, like the Bears haven't been desperately trying to find a kicker since January(i think they are on the 5th one as we speak). Maybe we should just accept Maher for what he is, a decent kicker who you can't rely, basically, about 60% of the kickers in the league.

Or maybe sign Matt Bryant? He made 95% of his attempts last year.

Agree but signs of progress should be evident as the preseason moves along. Never makes sense to wait until week 1 to unleash improvement. IMO.

That's true but Garrett doesn't play the starters much in preseason, even when they need chemistry like last year.

Absolutely. I don't put a ton of stock into practice or preseason games. The Patriots went 0-4 in preseason the year they went 16-0 in the regular season. Detroit went 4-0 in preseason the year they went 0-16 in the regular season.

What I do look at is things like with Dak, has he improved his footwork..... Yes, is his mechanics improved, yes...... Has his accuracy improved, especially on deep throws... Yes. All that being said it still doesn't matter unless it's in a regular season game. Our defense isn't going to smash Dak in practice and we aren't going to see much in preseason without scheming for that team.

You know me. If I see any improvement. I would be the 1st to admit it. I keep hearing big things about this year all these different reasons for improvement . . .yet its the same ol Dak.

I didn't want to come on here and see those lame ducks. . . Frustrating as all hell. I was trying to be optimistic. Then when I read that BS from Kitna I realize he ain't gonna be tough on Dak either. . . Everyone's been handling him with Kids gloves since he's been here, thus no improvement.

It's practice. I know if the offense struggles in preseason I know we will hear from your crowd. Wait until the regular season and see how this offense does. That's when it matters

Garrett usually starts slow. Almost every time he has made the playoffs they started 0-1 in the regular season.
