8 Days until Training Camp

Here it is, the final week before TC begins.
I said 8 days in the thread title. I realize that is until the report date. But get ready for a flood of news.

Report, then next day the annual TC PC, for those that love to hear Jerry speak. At least some fun can be had with it. Then the 1st day of practice, and probably no pads.

Then we will get the over hyped reports on good and bad of TC and which player is having a god or bad TC. Though that can fluctuate as TC goes on.

But I love the over hyped reports. Not that it may or may not mean anything, until we see it on the field. It is football news and that is the important thing. Yes, there will be comments, oh it don't matter, oh, I don't pay attention to TC. Well, then don't comment then. .

I want to see the rookies and UDFA's and underdogs to see what they can do. Even if only to be a PS candidate. I will be pulling for players such as Hill to show why he was a 2nd round pick. And the FA's signed, to see if they hit on some finally. Kazee, Neal, Kearse, Bashem, Urban, Watkins.

Always seems to be a battle for the last WR spot every year, or maybe last 2 spots this year.

Hopefully this week goes by as fast as the last 4 to 6 weeks. It seems a month ago we were saying how long this 4 to 6 weeks will seem. And here we are, already.

I look forward to an intense competition for the backup QB spots.
I know - coming off of a major injury, missing the last 2/3rds of the season - Prescott gets the majority of first team reps at the camp's beginning.
But the Cowboys really need to find out among the lowly-valued trio currently on the roster ....who can efficiently run the offense this fall for a series \half \ game \ portion of the season. (And secondarily - offer a smidgen of hope one of them can be the replacement if #4 moves on after his current contract.)
Dak does 1st qtr in the HOF game, goes to first half, then 2 & 1/2 qtrs thru game 3. All the other preseason game snaps go to the other QBs to prove who gets to be #2 and #3. (Will the league this season allow extra active \ game day roster spots to carry three QBs?).

Real camp occurs the first four games of the regular season.

Yes Jerry will speak and there will be many here that will give their interpretation of what he meant and there will be at least 5 different meanings

Its a crowded room thats for sure and they will have some tough decisions to make

Happy to see TC arrive. Bummed I started a new job after retiring from my last 23 year career. I used to attend TC on a weekday so to avoid the crowds.

I don't see my family attending on a weekend. Too many damn people.
