You're kidding, right? The Cowboys three stooges QBs have combined for one NFL start in their combined 13 years of experience.

There has already been one QB released who has done more than the three of them combined - Nick Mullens. There will be more.

Didn't know Mullins was out.
What about the Dolphins Sinnett (343 yards today) with the Hail Mary?
Or Bengals Shurmur, can't remember his stats, but he almost won that game.

Those guys are both 3s where they are. Not to take away from what they did, but both those teams looked sharp!

Probably 30-40 QB’s. Hopefully, the Cowboys will be able to find one better than what they have for backups currently. Maybe some depth in other positions as well.

likely faint choices ... those are likely project types suitable for practice squad ....

I would not be freaking out over the backup QB play in preseason. The Cowboys really were not evaluating the QBs in the games. It looked like they were intentionally setting them up for difficult situations to see how they would react under pressure. No way the team would be calling any of those offensive plays in the regular season. The QBs were hardly scrambling and they either didn't have the 1st stringers in or just played with a few 1st stringers. The Cowboys were more interested in evaluating the OL, WRs, and TEs. Those are the positions where the camp battles were on offense.

Wrong. Gilbert stood in the pocket, held on to the ball too long and Dinucci was scrambling often.

The "intention" was crappy OLine play. Who sets up a QB to stink, not evaluate,.mind you....in the FINAL preseason game when the team has NO viable option as the back up?

Yah......let's set them up for possible injury.

Seriously........

One needs to see a QB under pressure and duress. Any QB can throw screen passes and passes to the flat. Need to see if a QB will remain in the pocket with pressure and let the play develop. Don't want QBs bailing early. Need to see if a QB is not afraid to step into a throw with a DL in his face. Yes, there is risk of injury but it is minimal and can't be avoided. Need to see if the QB has situational awareness and is not forcing something at the wrong time. Why force a ball on 2nd down and risk interception? Just throw it away and live for another play.

I saw DiNucci on a few called rollouts but he had a decent pocket to throw. The team was not giving the QBs hot read options and had WRs running patterns that took time to run.

How do you know the team doesn't have a viable option at backup QB? One would need to be at camp every day to make that determination. Preseason games calling crappy vanilla plays is not going to do it.

No QB got injured, did they?
