Or the ABQ hairline. Imagine my surprise when the hairline started moving from the top of the head to the back. Not good fellas! LOL.....
Scares me. It hasn't started for me yet, maybe I will be lucky!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

Oh wait……this thread is about the WRs. My bad.

Love them all, but Drew's still the man!

I wonder if there is anyone on the current Cowboys roster that I would take in a fight over Irvin. Tyron maybe? Mike seems like he would have a little extra dog in him in a fight that would overcome someone stronger.

Rolando McClain immediately comes to mind. But there among the big uglies there are probably a lot more.

Think Dez is strong? Look at Michael Irvin. THAT was the reason he was so dominate in the 90s even though he was slow by some WR standards. Dude was BIG and EXTREMELY STRONG for a WR. (not to mention, he could push off back then)

Mike's bigger now than he was then. Dez plays at about 220 consistently while Mike was closer to 205. Dez is definitely the more physically strong now than Irvin was then.

I never really considered Mike to be that slow either. But that could have been a product of his route running... Left guys behind through crafty footwork rather than blistering speed.

During Irvin's playing days, he was benching over 300lbs. Nobody on the team even close to his weight could out-bench him. He was out benching Emmitt by around 75lbs. I can't seem to find a picture of him with his shirt off, but he was by far the most ripped player on the Cowboys back then. His playing weight might have been 207lbs, but is was solid muscle.

Yeah and Dez is pretty well documented to have 3.1% body fat.

I'm not saying Irvin was weak or anything, but Dez is a bigger/stronger football player.

I don't know how much he benches, but bench is only one measure of strength and not even really the best indicator, IMO. Squat and Deadlift involve more muscle groups and furthermore more muscle groups beneficial for the position.

But honestly I'm not going on that. I just don't recall Irvin running over guys or literally dragging a defender's entire body weight into the end zone like Dez has.

Irvin got knocked out of bounds or dragged down at the 1 more than any other player in history. That's why emmitt had those record breaking seasons with td's
