Thats a tough one.

What's the deal with Whitley?
Isn't he IR?
If so, he doesn't get counted on the roster does he?

Great question. I think he does for the 85, then he can be placed on IR after TC starts. I could be wrong though.

Vanderjagt. My inside sources says he's gone in a week.
Roy. My insiders insider says he's already packin' his bags.
Ware. My inside sources dad has an uncle who's a janitor at a K-Mart, over heard an older man(can't use his name because he's the head coach)while he was picking up some Funyuns.
Bledsoe. Gone. Throwing motion sucks. I'm sleeping with the secretary so, ya know.....insider.

All I have to say is TGIATC!!!

Don't know which four will have to go, as long as I don't have to see Kenyon Coleman and Nate Jones on this roster I'm good!

He has to sign first -- so technically he's not on the roster yet. I'd assume you don't have to clear a spot to sign him and then put him on IR.

Hos, Danny Young was definitely released, the intern in charge of roster updating fell asleep at the wheel.(Parchy?:p:) Whitley will be put on IR whether its "official" at this point or not.
Like I said, I think he has to be signed and TC official first. He technically is still just a draft pick.

Regardless Whitley will never count against their training camp roster and Young hasn't since June 5.

try henson and Terrance Copper
Copper's going to get a chance to defend his hill, as he should. The way I see it, there are a couple of tiers in the Cowboys receiving corps.

1st Tier, the untouchables:
Terry Glenn
TO

2nd Tier, proven he can compete, is above the rest but still in a precarious position:
Patrick Crayton

3rd Tier, a draft pick so you know he isn't going anywhere, but nobody's quite sure how he'll fit outside special teams:
Skyler Green

4th Tier, the '2005 preseason guys,' all of whom are really competing against one another for one, maybe two spots:
Terrance Copper
Ahmad Merritt
Jamaica Rector

5th Tier, the unknowns, and barring a magic performance none will escape relegation of some kind:
JR Tolver
Austin Miles
Sam Hurd

The winner will prove that above all, he is a serviceable special teamer. I think Merritt has a leg up on Copper at this point.

See I personally think one of the better measurable guys will catch on as #5 WR since Wakins plays the same gunner position as Copper on ST. My personal pick is Miles Austin

If any 4th tier guy is going to get cut, its going to be Rector. He had a solid mini-camp, but he's tiny out there, and all three of the 5th tier fellas had really great camps as well, especially Tolver.

It's really a gigantic jumble at this point. Below Green, who almost isn't a receiver, there are no guarantees. There are some bets that are surer than the others, but nothing is in stone right now. Should be a fun camp.
