As of right now it looks as if we will end up with the 8th pick after week 11. Probably out of the Peterson or Luck race. With that said, what's you desire at 8?

I haven't redone the SoS yet (will wait till after monday's game), but based on last weeks #s, Minnesota would pick ahead of us. And Denver as well if they lose to SD (I'm rooting for Denver so Norv is one step closer to being the OC here)

Actually we have the 9th pick right now and if the Broncos lose we have the 10th.

It would be hard to pass on Derrick Sherrod OT Mississippi St right here. IMO it's still about 2 picks early, I just dont see him as a top 10 talent but the marriage may be just to easy at 8.

If Dallas thinks Young is the answer they may look to address the secondary.

Best value at 8 could be Akeem Ayers but I have know idea what we would do with him.

A lot different sitting at 8 then at 2 and 3 like we have for the last couple weeks.

I'm using the same spread sheet as you. What the hell am I missing?

Actually, it looks like you are right. I have a mistake on Cleveland.

Is 3-4 DE going to be the best pick at this slot? We could use another pressure player in the nickel rush package at the DT spot.

I wonder about Fairley out of Auburn. The defense could use someone a bit nasty out there.

I think Amukumara and Peterson are off the board and there may not be an OL worthy of this slot.

I wonder if we would trade down for an OL a few slots.

Must be a full moon
Every Dog
Even a blind squirrel

:laugh2:

I would trade down for an exta 2nd rounder. Pick the BPA, then pick Camiri and Michael Pouncey.

I have loved Cameron Heyward going back to last year. I kind of gave up hope but who knows

Robert Quinn around this area as well. He would of been a top 5 selection if not for the suspension.

I like Heyward the best of all the 34 prospects for us.

1. Peterson
2. Heyward

Lol, funny the mistakes wishful thinking can make you run into.

I would be looking at a guy like Nick Fairley or even Robert Quinn. I think there's a chance Prince Amukamura might even be available in this range too.

It will also be interesting to see how a guy like Derek Sherrod grades out at the combine. It could improve his stock a lot to the point you may have to consider him at this slot.

You don't even know what mistake I made so this is the only wishful thinking here.

The bottom line is your little impossible scenario suddenly isn't. So sorry.

If we are picking in the 8-12 range, Robert Quinn, DE, North Carolina
could be the best player available. This draft is pretty deep as far as corner/safeties are concerned. Nate Soldier is going to be the best OT in this draft if the cowboys decide to address the O-Line line early.

Lol, you would think you would hear some crowing after Week 16 or 17. Nope, the Cowboys win one game since your post and now suddenly the possible has virtually been accomplished.

Sorry it hurts your butt. Truly.
