9-7 or less teams should not host a playoff game

The Seattle Seahawks say otherwise when they were 7-9, hosted a wildcard game and beat the 12-4 Saints team.

Exactly. Also, don't forget the 7-8-1 Panthers of 2014 won in the wild card round too.

The NFL should institute guidelines governing situations in which 9-7, 8-8 or 7-9 teams win their division, while teams with better records are often forced to settle for a wild card berth, or miss the playoffs altogether due to competing in stronger divisions.
There should be a requirement that any team should have to win 10 games in order to host a playoff game, and even then only be allowed to host teams with 11 wins or less.
Also, any team that wins 10 games in a season should automatically be in the playoffs. The NFL could add wild card games to accommodate such teams.
But it is unfair for a team like the Cowboys or the Eagles to potentially host a 12-13 win team that became a wildcard team because they played in a tougher division.
The Universe can be an unfair place, just ask the dinosaurs.
You either beat it, or it beats you.

We did lose cheerleader shots during the broadcast. We need more TA & drop the sideline reporters.
The reason for this is the nfl and tv networks feel that women viewers would not like or approve of those.
They want more women viewers because advertisers pay more for any show that has a high demo of female viewers.
That is why Oprah is a billionaire lol.

So the more female viewers , [in the neilsen ratings estimated ratings} a show has the more they can sell ads for , so more females , more $.
That is why they went to the female sideline reporters and cut out the cheerleaders.

All ratings are estimates based on small group of households that are monitored by neilsen. From that they estimate how many and what gender and ages
are watching a show. They really have no idea, they just go by this because it works to sell ads.

Advertisers love women, because they buy anything and control the money and they love to spend money lol.

The Cowboys are better than those teams. They "dumbed" themselves out of wins against the Jets, Vikings, and Patriots this year. Now they have a chance to make good on the 2019 season.
And hey, if an underdog can play spoiler...
That's good stuff.

Oh they have a chance, anything can happen, but as parcells said you are what your record says you are.
Dallas has not been consistent game to game after week 3 this year, so dont expect that to change.

They can "dumb" themselves out of wins in the playoffs too cant they? Heck they might do that in philly and no playoffs.

Plus if they do make it and have to play SF , they wont win, SF has lost 3 games this year, all 3 on last play of game, and 2 were last sec FG's and
atlanta got a TD with 2 seconds left. the other 2 losses were to Ravens and Seattle.
Atlanta is a good team too they just were bad team until 5 weeks ago, they are the type of team that had they started their run earlier and made playoffs
they would be a contender.

Dallas was more of a contender last year going in on a winning streak, win in wc round then that dumb thing and inconsistency caught up to them.

9-7 teams shouldn't win the Super Bowl Tournament

But they have.

Nothing personal, but Charlie Brown and Snoopy were never pessimists. Actually, they were very optimistic. Just saying...

The playoffs don’t needed to be changed.
Win your division. This year the East is week, but what if all division teams had split?
There could produce teams at 10-6 or 9-7 that had played a tougher schedule than some 11-5 team that finished behind a 14-2 team.

If the 49ers can't beat the Cowboys or Eagles on the road after how bad both teams have looked this season, then chances are they won't be able to beat the Saints or Seattle on the road.

Our 9-7, *if* we manage to win out to 9-7, will be a lot worse than usual, as we'll still be 3-7 outside our division.

We've had years where the division was tough and left the winner with a poor playoff record from mutual losses. Not this year. 6-0 in division (if). A bad team in an even worse division.

The "unfairness" is a business decision of the NFL to keep fans engaged. That's fine. But other teams will have a point that we haven't shown we're anywhere near as good a team.

Stop it..... win your division and you get a home playoff game. Most other sports have a 3-7 game series so each team gets to play at home. Football isn't that way. Some teams have double digit wins because they play a soft schedule. Football is 16 game season, most other sports are way more.

Keep it the easy it is, divisions matter
