That was my list, too, with Columbo first on the bubble depending on who we draft.

No matter how you look at it, though, our roster is getting better from top to bottom. We might only have 4-5 draft picks make the team this year, and I bet we only have 1 street FA from our usual crop even sniff the roster.

I might be in the minority here, but I think Al Singleton will make the team. At the very least, he is a very solid backup at OLB.

I think Al makes the cut too. We don't have cap problems and he adds needed experience on the outside.

Yeah, I'm guilty of that one.

But God almighty it took me 20 years to figure out how to spell "Winiki". ;)

Parcells stated that there's about 25% roster attrition each year and for the most part he's been true to his work. 25% of 53 players is 14 players that will have to be replaced. Sounds about right depending on injuries.

He's working on his 3rd year and hasn't done jack squat yet. You've got to wonder if he makes the roster come September.

He's a bubble guy.

N. Jones
Coleman

I think they'll probably keep Coleman, although he spent a lot of games on the inactive list last season. If they find a nose guard that can play this season, I could see them dumping Coleman and moving Pepper Johnson to a role similar to what Ty Warren does in NE, play mostly DE, but some NG.

Jones is a bubble guy as well. He hasn't done anything and if they find a younger guy that has more athletic upside, history shows that Parcells will go with the new guy.

These guys are gone
Singleton

I'm not sold on this yet. He really wasn't all that bad in the 3-4 last year. If anything he can be a decent backup that can give the starter a rest.

I'm not sold on this either. He's got great speed and good hands which Parcells likes and he started to play him more at the end of the year. The WR corp is pretty thin right now and he's a good special teams player who can do kickoff returns and coverage.

He's going to be fighting for a spot with Brett Pierce. I actually like him better than Pierce.

Shanle
Thorton

Last year they kept 9 LB's for most of the season until Dat went on I-R. Shanle is better off playing as a strongside backer in a 4-3, but he's a nice backup to have because he can play special teams and does well in the nickel.

The coaching staff seems to like Thornton too much and I think they missed him last year because Fujita wasn't the answer and Ware could've used some more rest.

Rich.......

You forgot brett pierce, he isnt going anywhere. Parcells likes him and he has good size and is a good blocker. We kind of stole that guy from the ravens who had an abundance of talent in camp in 04 at tight end, he went to the ps and we signed him and made him active.

Our base offense is a two tight end set with shifting and motion. Our tight ends motion to the fullback spot all the time, that is why we will most likely carry 4 tight ends, unless we draft one. IF we draft one I honestly think ryan would be out not pierce.

One more reason to like pierce he is a very good special teams player.

I usually don't have problems with that name. The only thing that gets me is if the two T's go first, or second. But it never looks right when I spell it Pettiti, so it's not real difficult.

Some people jsut don't have the spelling gene. My best friend is a whiz when it comes to math, and has a computer science major, but his spelling is at the 4th grade level, and I'm not exhaggerating.

Really...:D

working exremely hard at all aspects of his game. he won't concede anything to anybody. he did mention that the strenght program has added considerable size to many players, one he singled out is m. spears who appears to have gained about 20 lbs of muscle.

Wow glad to hear it. Seeing marcus spears in person last year in the parking lot and at all the home games, it is hard to imagine him being bigger!!!!! He is one large specimen as is Rob.

I am pulling for Rob, I hope he forces fabini to the bench. I have to imagine the organization is also and I believe they will give him every chance. I still think he was injured after that detroit game and was a little banged up the rest of the way.

Side note here, I am an immense springsteen fan, as I am typing this I am listening to a springsteen bootleg from 78 at the agora in cleveland, summertime bruce, prove it all night on that bootleg is incredible......I say this because Your family maybe the coolest people in america having him as a neighbor!!!

Amazing. this guy is now bigger!!!

One of the worst things about some posters that cannot get it through their heads....! Is this word misuse....

I hope we don't "loose" the game....

The QB caused us to "loose" the game...

If the Cowboys "loose" this game....

my wife would walk the kids down to bruce's on halloween to trick or treat. before exreme security became an issue, he would come out dressed like one of the security guards to pass out candy. i personally have never met him, but friends that know him say he is very down to earth.
