It'll be a let down on whose selling it. They probably put big time player in there to draw even more interest (cause you know there would be intrest anyway) and when whoever buys it gets it they'll find out it some JAG from the team who didn't even play a down in the game or something.

i thought the same thing, that they were just using that as a selling point.

I think it is Clayton Holmes.

I figured that you would be the one who might know something about it. Care to share why/how you know/think its him?

I'm sure his was gone a long time ago. And, he was never a "big time player".

Might be Mark Tuine's. He can't wear it anymore and his family may need the money. Just a wild guess.

I knew that would be your guess based on you posting that article before.

But I have to agree with CB here. That just makes a lot of sense to me.

That's a sad story. I'm glad I don't complain much cause I sure don't have any reason to. Relative to him that is.

The ring size is 12.75.

If you think Mark Tuinei wore a ring that small you're not sober. ;)

I am 90% sure it is Clayton Holmes ring. The seller decides "big name" and I agree, he is not.

It was a sad story, indeed, tragic even. I remembered reading his tale several months ago. But there was always one thing that Holmes had and it could never be taken away from him no matter how difficult the road became:

Believe in yourself.

Hos knows what I'm talking about because I lived it personally. So this isn't some kind of "oh let's feel sorry for the poor guy because he can't help it" post.

Life is tough - it always has been. If you're looking for a free ride then you might consider hitchhiking in another galaxy. If you've been dealt a six for a nine, turn the card upside down and at least pretend it's a nine.

My point is that no one wants to help someone who doesn't want to help him/herself first.

It's a dreadful, cynical way to look at it...but only a fool would think it otherwise.

Probably Larry Brown, there was a long thread here a year or two ago about his ring being up for auction. When asked about it he said that he had given it to a charity for fund raising. I don't know how to do a search on here, but you could probably find it here somewhere.

Hey Clayton, start by getting a job. A real job. Then, start being responsible for your kids.

I don't feel a bit sorry for him.

Do you think he could pass a drug test right now?

Just a thought...

That was my old thread. Both rings are from SB XXX. Hmmm.

You don't even have a car. You don't even have a cell phone. You don't even have a home. You pawned your Super Bowl rings. You have four kids with four women.

Not so sure it is Holmes. This is a new listing, correct? If so, the article Hostile posted was a few years old and, as shown highlighted above, alludes to him having already pawned his Superbowl rings.

If that is correct, then this listing can not be from him, or if it is it is not Holmes himself listing them.
