Probably Larry Brown, there was a long thread here a year or two ago about his ring being up for auction. When asked about it he said that he had given it to a charity for fund raising. I don't know how to do a search on here, but you could probably find it here somewhere.

That was my old thread. Both rings are from SB XXX. Hmmm.
Well, the size would be about right. He was also the MVP so it qualifies as a big name.

Maybe that is the key to the Scooby Doo mystery.

If going by the pics in both this thread and the thread that BBgun started. That is not Larry Brown's ring. There are blemishes on each ring that are in different spots. That's not to say they aren't touched up or not.

Hmm. the mystery remains.

Yesterday the link in the old thread to the auction would not open so I couldn't see it. Larry's ring is a size 12. This one is a 12.75, so you are probably correct. There are a couple of physical differences when you compare them side by side as well.

My land, I don't know how anyone could not feel compassion for Holmes.

I had the best parents a kid could ever ask for. Always there for me, always supportive, always showing how much they loved me even when I was being a punk.

My older brother was terrific, .. always loved me, alway looked out for me and helped me, always included me.

All of this and I still had some trying times in my younger years.

Holmes' parents weren't together, nobody wanted him, his parents put him down and discouraged him. All the while his older brother was porking him in the night.

The fact that he is not in prison is a miracle and a tribute to the guy.

He has absolutely no foundation for his life to be built on, his life is built on shifting sand.

There, but for the grace of God, goes you or me.

I think it is Clayton Holmes.

It says:

This beautiful 1995 Dallas Cowboys "Super Bowl XXX" 14K Gold, with All Real Diamonds, Ring belonged to a *BIG NAME* Player.

Not sure I would classify Holmes as a big time player. Of course, hyperbole is a selling tool.

Yes,

We have already come to the conclusion that Holmes wasn't a big name. That is in the description for selling , that is all.

But, it would still make sense. Considering he did sell his years ago.

I know what it says. I also know how salesmen puff the product. When will you grasp that?

Outstanding, man. Very well put and well written. Most people lack the compassion and perspective to understand that life, for many people is rife with tragedy and failure.

We all like to cry 'bootstraps' and 'get a job' but people who say that inevitably have never led a life like Clayton's. The really sad part is, his story is much more common than anyone can realize. Many people have never, ever had a real chance at happiness, even in America, the "land of opportunity".

I'm usually this empathetic one, but do you guys have any idea what crazy insane things people do on Crack Cocaine and how abosolutely inhuman people become that smoke it?

Crack Addicts are one of the most sorry/abusive, lieing, back stabbing sub-humanoids you'll ever witness in this life.

Sure they are. But why did they START doing it in the first place? Do you think any of the one million terrible-*** things that happened to Clayton or the tons of other people have anything to do with it?
