A 4th rounder for Quinn? How did we pass?

With 3 4th round picks, how did we not give LA a 4th for Robert Quinn? Was it all salary cap impact? I know his sack numbers have been down, but he has been miscast playing in a 3-4 and is still young. The kind of move PHI would make, but we refuse to.

Those are his base salaries. Yeesh.

I wouldn't touch him at those numbers.

But the bigger point here is that yes, this front office eschews apparently both improving via trade or through FA. It's gonna be the draft and the draft only.

The point for me isn't that they weren't about to touch this contract, even for just a 4th rounder. Among the criticisms I have, this isn't one of them. I'll applaud them for not making this move.

I'd rather pay over $10 million a year to Lawrence - an ascending player - over a descending one in Quinn.

Maybe because of his salary? Maybe because Miami has a much better fourth round position?

It is part of the process ...but this part of it worked.
I would like them do do something, but we do not need a high paid DE. It was starting to work better at the end of the year. Bring back DLaw and Irving. Get some stud LB's in here and fix the S issue. Then the DE's can or should be even better. Butneed that stud DT also.
