is this going to suck as much as I think it will....I remember Mad TV did a spoof on The Sopranos in syndication a couple of years ago and every other word was muted...http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050131/ap_en_tv/tv_sopranos_sale

Well I guess many of the show will have backgrounds of blur, as many of the big parts of the show and plot are in the Bada Bing with them talking and strippers behind.

I also wonder what will be done with a few takes where ralphie and the cop are with his stripper girlfriend.

The language, nudity and violence .....hard to see them taking it all out and keeping the plot line in tact without people (who have never seen the show) losing what is going on.

Stick to HBO and DVD Sopranos.

I just watched the Pine Barrens episode last night on HBO in Demand....I love that epidsode...paulie anc christopher kill me.

The Soprano's is the only reason I have HBO. It wouldnt be the same on anything but a pay channel. Too bad they are taking a year off. I cant wait for season 6 in '06.

You should check out Deadwood. It's a very good show.

Yep....BTW Deadwood Season one comes out on DVD around Feb 8th If I remember correctly.

I just checked out Deadwoods site and it does look like my kind of show.

I may have to get Showtime again. I miss Dead Like Me and Penn and Tellers BS

Ok I know it's a chick show, but if you ever scan one of the TBS-edited Sex and the City shows, you can figure out how they're gonna do the Sopranos. It'll have just enough of what you remember to make you're thinking your watching the show, and then enough to get you pissed off when some of the more obvious things like "f***ed up," become "fouled up." Or a scene with Samantha where you know she's supposed to be saying something or doing something completely outrageous and its been edited to something PG.

They'll probably have so many voice-overs and edited scenes, that you won't be able to watch it anymore, well not with PURE enjoyment. Granted, you can't completely compare the two shows, but that's probably what you have to look forward to.

I just remebered why I quit watching A&E

I liked the BS show but I can never remember when it was on...I do not even know if it still is on.

However I like Family Business on Showtime.

Al and Jane are my favorite characters.

I loved it when EB tells Jane to be well and she tells him to be *** :D

If you don't want the edited version, then get the DVDs. Everything but the last season is out now.

It's funny, though, even though I have the first four seasons and can watch any episode at any time, I'll probably still check out the reruns on A&E from time to time.

Isn't that how it always is? You'll come across some movie like Ferris Beuller or the Godfather on cable and start watching part of it, and then you'll think "What the hell am I doing? I have this on DVD, why am I watching some chopped up version with commericals on TV?" :D
