I agree, officiating was TERRIBLE, on BOTH SIDES.
I'm glad A&M won, but I honestly feel bad for Louisville. A&M won simply because Louisville didnt drive to the hoop the last possesion. Because A&M won, I wouldnt do it, but I'm almost tempted to want a rematch simply because that game was ridiculous and unfair to both teams. 10 combined players with at least 4 fouls in a 40 minute game? Unacceptable. Newsflash: It is possible to drive inside, miss the shot and not get fould. There were at least 4 fouls in the last 5 minutes alone both ways that were clean defensive strips/blocks. They gave A&M the game by calling a BS reach in on Sosa, then almost gave it right back by calling Sloan for a foul on a clean strip. Luckily, he missed the FTs.
Officiating at that high a level simply has to be better. Refs should not determine the outcome of a vital NCAA tournament game. This isnt the freaking NIT, A&M and Luoisville both have/had legit shots to get to the Final Four this year.
That being said....I gotta do it....
