i heard on a local talk show, that LSU may be responsible for the sign...but judging by the lack of spelling and grammar errors, along with a lack of crawfish carcasses, it simply cannot be LSU.

90% of the goofy **** you'll hear about hasnt gone on in over half a century. Outside of various corps schenanigans, most of the really out there stuff went out the window with the military requirement.

Outside the various corps shenanigans? Well most of the bizarre things I have read about seem to the into that area so I don't think that can just be kind of brushed away.

Also I realize that all fans can not be lumped together but it seems a little more prevelant there... Some of the camp type things for those going to the school and a few other odd ball things with some after leaving there and going to work. Again that does not mean ALL students or fans

Yeah, we have yell leaders instead of cheerleaders. We have the corps. We build bonfire. We "whoop", and if all that makes us "weird" then so be it I suppose. I really just don't see the big deal. I think a lot of it stems from the fact that Aggies have great pride in their school, more than our athletic success would seem to indicate we should, and that rubs people the wrong way. What they don't understand is that very little of our pride has anything to do with football, and that itsn't the case at many schools. People go to school, get their degree and leave at a lot of schools, but a huge percentage of Aggies make the school very literally a part of their existence.

As far as fish camp, I never understood the big deal about it. Those who call it "weird" are mostly those who have never been and the majority of schools have some sort of camp or welcome weekend where you get the rah rah spiel. I went way back when and outside of teaching kids the fight song and yells it was nothing but information seminars and a big party on the last night. Nothing about it seemed "weird" or involved the supposed brainwashing.

A link to the request and a picture of the contract was going around Texags and Shaggybevo the other day, but it appears the owners of both sites have since deleted all of it. I'm assuming nobody wants to be implicated, seeing as A&M's AD is looking to pursue legal action for copyright infringement if they discover who it is.

Jason Cook is the one who confirmed that A&M made a public records request, though.

Regardless of who did it, it's very clear A&M did not because our athletic department is pissed.

So then, what you are saying is that there is no proof of Texas involvement in this, is that correct?

I listened to a report on ESPN last night that maintains no proof of responsibility has been discovered.

Until such time as proof is found, you have no business blaming Texas or anybody. If it comes to light that it is Texas, then I'm fine with that but until then, not so much.

The only thing you need to know to realize no Aggie posted that billboard is that Aggie Nation does not exist. It is Aggieland, home of the 12th Man. No Aggie would spend that kind of money to say Aggie Nation. "Whoop" would also not be written out, it would say Gig'em instead. I cannot say who is responsible, but it is fairly clear it would not have been an Aggie.

As for the two new conference championships, before the conference split there was a regular season champion and post season champion. A&M was the regular season champ or co-champ in those two years for the South Division and this is supported by the Big 12 website.

A&M is shown here to have 3 regular season conference championships in football and one post season championship. Texas also claims South championships on their wall, its just that no one makes a big deal about it because it isn't a big deal.
