I am so excited. I turned 58 yesterday and my family gave me tickets, hotel & transportation to the Dec. 9th game - Cowboys vs. Bengals in Cincinnati. Leaving Saturday a.m. and coming home on Monday. I will be going with my 29 year old son as it is our boys away weekend. My son is driving - it's about a 9 hour trip. He is a Bengal fan (poor kid). Does anyone have any knowledge of Cincinnati and where to go, things to do? Anyone know where the team stays (or where I could go to find out)? I'd love to get some autographs, photos if I could. I'm so looking forward to this. I will dressed in full Cowboy gear and representing!!!

Dang dude, you're even older than me! (I'll be 54 next week)

What a great birthday gift, I know you and your son will enjoy the trip as much as the game itself.

A couple of years ago my dad & I took a road trip to the HoF in Canton from Raleigh and it was the best time he and I have ever had together. It was for his 80th birthday and it was fabulous to spend the time driving and hanging out together. I learned more about him in those 3 days than I had the previous 50+ years.

The HoF was great but the time with my dad was priceless.

Happy Birthday Brickman!

Well deserved my man. Have a great time. Take pictures.

Your are lucky to have such a great family. Enjoy the time with your son and please don't take it for granted (I know you won't). Congrats!:starspin

My sister lives in Cincy. The first two things that come to mind are Skyline Chili and Graters Ice Cream. I remember when she first moved there (1970) these guys were still local. Now you can find their stuff in Krogers. They have a well-known zoo and I'll bet the hotel can tell you other things to do as well. There is (or was) an Octoberfest w/ a lot of beer to sample (you have to pay for the samples). Have fun...

Have fun man. I"ve been to Cinci"nasty" twice. It's literally one of the most disgusting cities I've been to. There is a nice part of downtown, but that's the only part of the city I remember being nice. Just saying.

Thanks to all. I cherish the time spent with my son and am so looking forward to traveling with him again. Once they are not living in your house anymore, you look for any excuse to see them. Going to a Cowboys game only sweets the pot. We went to the first game vs. the Giants at the new stadium. I want to see a Cowboy win this time!!!

Skyline Chili and there's another one too, can't recall the name right off hand. I want to say it's something like goldcoast. But Skyline was a little better. However I prefer the Frisch's Bigboy chili to both.

People in Cincy can be like your in the twilight zone. But since you'll only be there for the game, you probably won't notice.:laugh1:
I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just my opinion. Well, for the Fairfield area. Other parts are normal. They are not nasty, rude or mean, but just are cautious of outsiders....that can make them seem unfriendly, even though they probably are not that way.

I'll add my belated Happy Birthday wish as well. You will treasure the trip with your son.

My daughter and I took a road trip to Arizona to watch the Cowboys play the Cards 10 or 12 years ago. Sharing the trip with her means more to me today than the football game did. You'll have some great memories you can look back on when you get to be as old as I am.

Geez, a lot of oldies in here...I thought I was old since I am turning 50 next month!!!

Congrats brickman, enjoy, and know that I am jealous!!!

Wow! I cannot think of a gift that I would like better.......I love all of the Dallas Cowboy games/training camps/functions etc. I have been fortunate to attend over the years!

I love anything Cowboys and hope you have a great birthday!:starspin

WE ARE WINNING THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR ZONERS!

Congrats!

Whoa, December in Cincy. Bring your coat to go with your smile!
That should be a huge challenge for the Cowboys and hopefully a great time for you.
