A bit concerned about Newman/Henry against Johnson/Moulds this week...

No one's talking about this just yet, but I'm a bit worried about the matchup, especially against Andre, even if Henry mans up with him because of the similar heights. Remember what happened in Week 1 when we faced extraordinarly tall receivers that had less speed than Johnson and about the same as an admittedly slower-than-earlier-in-his career Moulds.

Our CB's had a bad game against the Jags. They have been pretty good since. I am not worried- if we cannot get a good pass rush against this O line then we should forfeit the rest of the season.

They're good but they are going against the Cowboys strength. I'd see if the Texans had favorable matchups in other areas, but WR vs CB may be the only match up they win and personally I don't even see that as "advantage Texans". I just don't see a scenario where they do good enough and Newman, Henry and Glenn do bad enough where the Texans come out on that. With that said it's hard for me to be "worried". JMO

:laugh2: This is a good point and should hopefully make a major difference as compared to when we played the Jags. On the other side of things too, I say if Bledsoe, Owens, Glenn, and Witten can't put some gaudy stats against their secondary, we also have a potential problem on our hands.

even though it was preseason..remember last year when we faced them?? newman man handled Andre..and got a pick!

im not worried at all.....

That is one area for Houston that is a strenght with Johnson and Moulds.

Why wouldn't anyone be concerned? Some guy named Baskett had a career game last week.

yea...agianst our safties....

and who wouldnt have a carrer day? shi* if i had allday to run my routes i could too

Relax fellas.

We just played against one of the best teams in the NFC, maybe in the NFL.

Their receivers may make some big plays against and that goes for the Cardinals as well, but at the end of the day, we are a better team.

The best team doesn't always win, but I like our chances this week.

How is Carr going to get the ball to them. If Ellis and Ware can put pressure on him, like they did McNabb, then Carr will be on his back throwing it. I don't think Carr is as mobile as McNabb. Of course I could be wrong.

Take a page out of the Eagles book and put Carr on his rear-end, and then all those weapons will not be much of a factor. Or open up our own Offense, put up some points and force them to abandon the run and go to a pass happy catch-up Offense so we can generate more pressure rushing the QB only.

Johnson and Moulds aren't as tall as the Jaguars' receivers.

right, We can't blitz worth a crap. We forecast the blitzer and other teams pick it up...

Against Watkins, not Newman or Henry.

Is there any reason to think that the safeties won't be tested every week from here on out?

I do believe that Watkins will play better as they year goes on. He is, afterall, a rookie. I expect the CB's to give plenty of cushion and give up the short to intermediate patterns to save the big play from happening.

Watkins needs some confidence back. It's a good week for that to happen.

My source of concern is not because of just happened this past Sunday, it was because of what happened in Week 1 against the corners.
