A bit of levity in as the clock ticked down to 0:00

As my group sat around last night in stunned silence as the clock ticked down. They flashed back and forth to the pictures of Romo sitting on the bench with his head nearly in his lap.

My wife, in her dry West Texas drawl, cracked us all up when she stood up and said, "Shake it off Tony, rub some dirt on it!" à la the Peyton Manning commercials shown incessantly the past couple of months.

I literally was doubled over with laughter until tears came out of my eyes, boy it was perfect timing and couldn't of come at a more opportune time.

that's hilarious. gotta admit Romo did look a lot like Danny White after he ran into Dexter Manley.

I thought I was going to wake up this morning and find out Romo committed suicide. He looked like he was dead. I can't say how I would have reacted in the situation though.

I just have one thing to say about Tony Romo........I don't want him back if he is still dating Carrie Underwood.

Romo was doing ok while messing with Jessica Simpson....but he gets with Ms. American Idol and his game has gone to crap. He has a severe case of fumbilitis. His passes are either high or bouncers. He has no poise in the pocket.

Come on Tony........have your fun with Carrie in the offseason, but dump that broad during the season and keep your head in the game.

BTW.....I think Roy is back with Kelly Rowland........if so that would explain his braindead play....remember the last time he was with her....he was the Toast of the NFL, literally.

It's too bad we couldn't see Campbell shine this post-season. I'm sure he got a good laugh out of Tony's performance while he was sitting on his couch with the rest of the Commanders team.

dude that sig isn't needed, We don't run around with your record on our sigs.
Or a break down of your spending in relation to wins.
both of which are far more tragic than tony.

Gibbs waited too long to put Campbell in. I do think he was encouraged by
Romo (Romo envy). Of the two (Romo and Campbell) who do you think has greater composure on the field?

hard to tell cause your guy was playing in garbage time without any pressure.
we were making a playoff run.
next year will tell the tale.

You are 46 years old, really? You're here acting like a 12 year old!

One of our resident Redstink posters said that there would be other Redstink trolls coming here if we lost...he was right!

Composure? How about play ability instead? Romo was in the playoffs while Campbell was still learning the first two pages of that 700 page playbook!

Yeah, 46 years old...typical of a RedStink fan!

:dissskin: Good dog, Gibbs...damn good dog!

Well, Romo puts up much better numbers, and generally looks much better on field. Romo has led the team to several 4th quarter comebacks this season and led a couple would be comebacks that were inches short (including yesterday's performance).

It's not really fair to compare them at this point, because Romo has 2 years of growth on Campbell, but if you had to make a judgment at this point, I think even the biggest Skins homer would have to say Romo is playing better right now. Romo has more experience and looks like he has more experience at this point.

no pressure on a rookie? most of the teams we played were "making a run for the playoffs". wasn't to hard to do in the nfc when 9-7, 8-8 gets you a wild card. I think you're confusing performance with composure. Romo lost all of his composure last night.

performance doesn't = composure. picture below displays lack of composure

Well, you can take composure, but I'll take performance. Have fun with your underperforming player that keeps his head up high.

What a goober.

Yeah, the way he said it it was almost as if he'd seen us practice it.

Nothing like an ignorant Commanders fan mouthing off to bring cowboyszone back together. Unfortunately, I live in Redskinland. Its probably the main reason I'm a Cowboys fan. Most Commander fans still think the Hogs are playing. Seriously, many of them can't name ten guys on the very team they supposedly watch every week.

As for the future of the Cowboys. I say its very bright. Romo will bounce back. Parcells will stay one more year. We will bring in a DC with the promise of making him HC in 2008-2009.
