A change of plans. I like it

Now..

In light of these recent developments with the CBA and whitewashing the drug suspensions..

I now worry a lot less about Zeke going into Headshops and browsing..

or our entire DL being frisked coming out of the tunnel.

But what I really like is the changes being made at the team level where we are going thru a change of identity.

I am going to call it a change of plans and it may well roll into a SB appearance.

For years we have been referred to as "America's Team".

I have always cringed at this becuz it paints a target on our backs from which it is often difficult to shake.

But unless I miss my guess, we are changing as a team. We are looking at personalities like Aldon Smith, Gregory, and others to help us win.

Gone is the squeaky clean Stauback vision of a team. We no longer need that and today's fan do not want it.

Today's fans have grown up more like myself and maybe you, too.

We are freer to do things our own ways. Blame the Beatles and the Rolling Stones for this. Songs like I Am the Walrus, Don't You Know My Name and other rebellious songs we grew up with as teenagers taught us to appreciate forms of expression that 40 years later are moving heaven and Earth to force change.

I do not really want to be America's Team anymore. But if fans want to identify with us becuz we are wise, resourceful and a little sneaky when needed..

I want that. I want to win more than anything else.

Don't need White Horses. Don't need to be Knights in Shining Armour.

We have won nothing in over 25 years.

I would like to see us be known for bullying other teams. But picking them up after running them over.

I want to see Zeke score a TD and pull up his shirt and show off his abs instead of pretending to spoon-feed himself.

I hear you, somewhat Red, but I still feel what makes us different than everyone else is what that beautiful shiny white-striped blue star on our helmets stands for...uniqueness, the example, shiny white knight in armor...America's Team. Our league and country need it, and fans around the world demand it.
