1. Flo and Colombo really needed to get the work in tonight. Both have to get into game shape. Hopefully they will be ready in a couple of weeks. Against Denver they only played about 2-3 series. This is going to take a couple of games . . . .

2. Really like the play of Hurd. Once we get Glenn and Fasano back, our overall offensive weapons will be lethal.

3. Looks like the kicker decision is becoming much easier to make.

4. Looks like no major injuries suffered on our side, though I don't know the status of JJ's ankle injury.

5. Hatcher got some playing time as well. Hopefully he'll also be in "game" shape versus the Giants.

As for problems, my biggest concern is still backup NT and depth at CB on Defense. Not sure there is much we can do about it though. We may just have to go with what we have.

On Special Teams, my biggest concern is a PR. Urban doesn't inspire confidence. Maybe this is a position we can upgrade before the season starts?

Finally, here's hoping to Newman and Ellis making it back sooner rather than later . . . .

You would think this would have been a priority in the offseason...

BTW, our Pass D..ranked 24th last year.

Addressing starting positions at RG, FS, and potentially OLB took precedent over backup NT and corner depth.

It happens.

I think jj was fine, its kevin burnett that took himself out.

Burnett needed the x-ray and they said they didnt see anything on it but he has a loose body part, that is what kristie scales was told on the radio...

I hope burnett is okay.

looks like he may get scope, if that's the case h could miss 1-2 games.

That's great news. He's been showing up a lot this pre-season.

No I wouldn't say those were the only positives. I also was happy to see that on a night when we really just didn't have it and couldn't get the running game going, that we still were able to make a few plays and get some things done.

This #1 - was a hight percentage TO play. Need to do more of that... he will probably score everytime with that.

This #2 - it actually was a good play.. the defender saw it developing and almost made a good play getting to the area... Witten took a little hit...
