First off, let's all STOP blaming Bedsoe for the Cowboys offensive problems. Our offensive line is THE PROBLEM when it comes to moving the ball.

Basically our problems are the fact that we have no rushing offense, bad play calling by Payton and NO pass rush on defense - especially when we blitz it's just plain embaressing to see the opposing QBs recieve no pressure hardly ever. Just horrible!

Bledsoe did have a bad game yesterday, I will admit. He just couldn't connect or throw consistant accurate passes, like he usually does. This season looks grim with our upcoming schedule and IF we make the playoffs, I think that we would be very lucky and fortunate to do so.

If we can win 3 out of the final 4 games, then we SHOULD make the playoffs and have a chance to maybe do something, since it's like a new season and we'll get Henry back by then along with any other injuries that we might have. Our Defense should also just get better as they continue to improve in the 3-4 and with all the young players on D, but we will still NEED to have a PASS RUSH or forget about it.

So please stop blaming Bledsoe for our loss... he did have a bad game, but with the poor play calling from Payton and horrible offensive line play, Bledsoe really had no chance to make anything happen. I will say though that Bledsoe SHOULD HAVE called more AUDIBLES (slants, or quick out and ups) when he saw the Giants bringing the blitz. Along with little pressure from our defense on Manning, even when we blitzed, it would've taken a miricle for us to win this game agaisnt the Giants... funny thing is that we had our chances... :(

Anyways, as a TRUE Cowboy fan, I still have hope so I'm going to HOPE for us to win 3 of the final 4 games and hopefully sneak into the playoffs.

GO COWBOYS!!!

Bledsoe had a better day than the winning QB.

Their D line played like monsters, i know that much.

I didn't have too much problem with the play calling, the 3rd and 1 long incompletion to Glenn i hated. Just sneak it there.

I have a hard time saying that Bledsoe had a better day.

Face it both QBs were terrible. Credit the Giants and Cowboys defenses for having good games.

13 year vet - 1st year full time starter.

I expect these type of games out of Manning, I expected Bledsoe to be decidedly better overall.

Claiming either of these 2 QBs having crappy games, that one was better, is silly.

I do think the oline is the major problem, but anybody who doesn't put some of the blame on yesterday's loss on Bledsoe wasn't watching the game.

He had four turnovers!!!

He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn in the first half.

He threw ducks, overthrows, and underthrows all day.

Most of the sacks he took came because he refused to throw away the ball.

He ran for three yards on the last drive, causing us to lose a lot of time, when he should have thrown away the ball-- again.

He sucked yesterday -- and looked scared. I'm sure the team noticed and played scared on offense as well

I was screaming at the o-line yesterday too.

Until I rewatched part of the game on tivo and I came to the conclusion that Bledsoe was just as much to blame if not more.

He has played good this year, but it's been a while.

His problem is he is pocket scared. Look at his face. Do you see confidence when he drops back? Ok, I know the line is horrible but take a look at the plays that he "rushes" WHEN HE ACTUALLY HAS TIME!

That explains the overthrows, and balls in the dirt. (BTW Mcnabb get crucified for that)

Hey, I was happy when we signed Bledsoe, still like the guy. I believe he is better than anything on our roster since Aikman, but I don't think we will win a championship with him.

Exactly. Bledsoe feels pressure on EVERY PLAY, whether it's there or not. Don't believe me? Watch the game. Some of the wormballs he threw were after standing in the pocket for 4 or 5 seconds with GOOD protection.

I long for a QB that can move around in the pocket and not just stand there. Seriously, why can’t someone teach him how to move around just a little. Is it that hard?

4-5 seconds is a lot of time. The thing is, with MAX protection, only 2 guys are out there, which doesnt help.

This is a discussion board for goodness sakes. No one has to stop posting anything as long as it's within the rules of the forum. If you support Bledsoe and think it's all on the OL, then defend him. But just because you disagree with a poster doesn't mean the poster should stop posting.

None of our opinions are worth anything anyhow, but that's what this place is for. It's a forum for venting your Cowboy frustration after a loss and your Cowboy love after a win.

Both Bledsoe and the OL played poorly yesterday. This team is running out of steam.

heh, I remember this one play where he got all jittery and moved from the pocket when there was no pressure... But he moved right to an area where a d-line guy was standing... Drew basically created his own pressure on that play! It was so pathetic, it was downright laughable.... That said, I don't think Drew is an absolute horrible qb. It's just that he's only as good as his offensive line. If the o-line is bad, then he's bad.. simple as that.

I'm down on Bledsoe too.

Is it too much to ask for this guy to have an idea where to go with the football if the opponent is blitzing? Never does he drop back a couple of steps, recognize a blitz, and fire the ball to an open receiver. Never. And if you watch the game again, there are open receivers off the snap of the ball. He gets by on his strong arm and talent throwing the football. The rest of his game isn't NFL worthy.

That said, I predicted in the offseason he'd have about an 82 qb rating with more TD's than picks, and that's about where he'll be I think.

But it's darn frustrating watching a player with throwing talent like he has struggle to Quincy Carter-level mediocrity.

I agree with what you said "sometimes Drew creates his own pressure" I remember that play, the o-line had allowed penetration but it was funneled off to the side, drew promptly moved toward a Giant lineman.

To be fair to Drew and the o-line as well I remember one play that Drew was hit just as he threw the ball on 3-8 by Antonio Pierce. blitzing. The culprits to blame on that play were KEY and JULIUS.

Key barely chipped him and Julius just watched him streak by...WHIFF!!! :nolook:

So No, It's not all Bledsoes fault nor the O-line.

I know that obviously anyone can post anything they want as long as it's in the rules, but I was just expressing my displeasure about people that continuous blame Bledsoe for our losses.

Again, our loses have MAINLY been the fault of our OL, bad play calling decisions by Payton, our FG kicking and unfortunate injuries (no excuse). Bledsoe did have a bad game against the Giants and starting to get "nervous feet" when in the pocket. Too much pressure is starting to pour in and Bledsoe is getting less confident.

It TAKES a team effort to either WIN or LOSE, but we could've survived this past game against the Giants if our line blocked better and Payton made better calls (like that 3rd and inches late in the fourth and Payton decided to call a long pass play instead of getting the first down. It could've worked, but it didn't... and if you are going to try a long pass like on 3rd and inches, then you should be prepared to go for it on 4th down. Plus JJ should've outran that defender and reached out for the first down a little better. It just didn't work out for us that day :(
