Berry is an absolute stud. Teaming him with Jones would be a coup. I hate signing players in free agency, with rare exceptions. He would be one.

But I live in KC and I actually covered the team for a few years. They love Berry, too. The fans and the FO.

Are they gonna franchise Berry or Poe. I like both of those players.

They'd pick Berry over Poe. Poe has a good chance to hit FA but has had back issues and is prob pushing 370.

The interesting dynamic is they already franchised Berry this past season and he has told the team he won't play under the tag again. That's why I gave it a 1% chance. Otherwise I'd say no chance.

That being said, Berry loves KC and since he wants to stay and the team obviously doesn't want him to go, a deal will get done. He's a good community guy and a team leader and his play on the field is obviously all-pro level. It mystifies me why KC hasn't already locked him up.
