Everybody should enjoy it but a 1989 book by a Fort Worth newsman, Elston Brooks, titled "The Man Who Ruined Football" should particularly appeal to Hostile.

This is a nostalgic gem for those old enough to remember the Dallas Cowboys of Tom Landry in the early 1980s, and a revelation, perhaps, to those younger. It is a fictionalized account of a 1982 season in which a fictional, fifty-two year old kicker revolutionized the professional football world. But the real players are there as part of the story: Danny White, Too Tall Jones, Rafael Septien, Tom Rafferty, Herb Scott, Tony Dorsett, Tony Hill, Drew Pearson, and the rest. The coaches, broadcasters, and writers, too: Landry, Gene Stallings, Jim Myers, Howard Cosell, Dandy Don Meredith, Verne Lundquist, Brad Sham, Frank Luska, Blackie Sherrod, John Madden, Pat Summerall. Tex Schramm, Gil Brandt, too, and others. Too many old participants to name. Very enjoyable with comedic touches.

I like the story idea of a fictional account with non-fictional characters.
