After seeing how our coaching staff and Jerry Jones are going about free agency this season, along with drafts of the past two seasons, what do you think of this scenario?

- Cowboys complete the 2010 season, either with a Super Bowl win, or playoff exit
- Wade Phillips steps down as head coach, Jason Garrett becomes Dallas Cowboys head coach
- Wade Phillips becomes Assistant General Manager, Defense

i can live with that , but if wade wins the superbowl, he will stick for one more year due to his contract;

I think you missed the assistant GM part. :laugh2:

No way shape or form any part of the GM title for the Dallas Cowboys goes to anyone else but someone in the Jones family. Book it!

I could see Wade take a front office job with the Cowboys and help in the draft and free agency. Just not staying to coach the defense.

Though, I would change my mind depending on how the injured rookies of last year fare in camp this year.

Regardless of the situation, I don't see Wade coming back to the organization after he is no longer the HC.
