...Sorry, couldn't help myself.

My point is I saw that Dak thread a couple weeks ago and God, how ridiculous to make such a conclusion on a second-year quarterback after a couple bad games. It happens to everybody. Dak redeemed himself as I knew he would.

You knew pointing out Brady as an example was "LOLZ JUST KIDDING" yet you still use it? Why is Brady ever used in the same sentence as Dak?

Brady, after 5 Super Bowl wins, gets the benefit of the doubt for having a bad game or two. Dak should not and will not get that when he is still struggling against competent and competitive teams in his second year, while also regressing or not improving in areas.

And Dak didn't "redeem" anything - he went up against a team that is pretty much in tank mode at this point.

It's like some of you guys actually want your posts on Dak to backfire.

Yes.

You remember when he broke Tom's record for most attempts to start a career without an INT? Kind of irrelevant, I know, but since you asked.

Whats funny to me is all the talk that Wetnz was the leading MVP candidate, a guy who with a 60.2 completion %. But hey, he has 33 tds. That's all people look at for qbs I guess.

Had a horrible first year, succumbed to a season ending injury that will plague him for the rest of his career in his second year ... Wentz really justifying the Eagles going all in on him for that draft.

I was just saying that no way is he the league MVP. Brady, as of now completion % is 68.5, 109.7 qb rating, 26 tds and only 4 ints.

Definitely true. Also Wentz' stats have also been boosted by an incredibly easy schedule

I thought Giants game was first time he looked good in several weeks. Its a start. However, on all those long plays in Giants game I believe they were all throws for 7 yards or less. Still need to see him throw down field better and continue making teams pay for blitzing. Never questioned his heart but I still have some concerns about arm talent & ability to read defense when he is not getting "major" support around him.

hate to say this but when i watch Wentz he looks like Aikman & Rogers rolled into one. Don't care what numbers say he is generational. Dallas has small window this year and likely next year as he recovers and won't really be game speed until Oct next year. If Cowboys is smart they go all in this off-season. Use those supplemental pics and move up in draft. Sign an impact FA on D.

He does appear to be ascending (up to this point/injury) into that realm of generational. If he is "generational", he will recover from this the way Tom Brady did his... or will he recover like Carr has this year (granted, different leg injuries)? This has been a bad year per Carr's standards, and what people projected he would do this year.

It'll be interesting to see how this heels for him, both physically (compounded by other injuries?), and mentally (a la Carr).

Who knows, even Generational QBs don't always destroy the league and win like Brady/Manning, look at GB. Always so close. People expect more out of Rodgers. More rings. To only have one, for a supposed transformative QB, the NFL's Golden Boy, is not cutting it for either GB's fans or Rodgers' himself (he's so full of himself).

Same injury. Carr's a mobile QB, Brady isn't

His team is 11-2, he’s thrown 33 TDs to just 7 INTs and a QB rating of 102 and a QBR of 74.5, but let’s focus on that completion percentage.

Apparently, completion percentage is all you look for in a MVP candidate.

Aikman wasn't great during the regular seasons, he shined in the playoffs. And no way does Wentz compare to Rogers. A guy completing only 60.2% of his passes. People bash Dak on and on about his accuracy issues, but the Wentz people here overlook his own issues.

And just as you don't focus on Brady's overall numbers, who is having a better year.

Which playoff run?

Outside of 1992, I’d hardly say he “shined.”
