A Dak thread

1. Cam ran for 636 yards his MVP season (not 1,500)

2. Aikman’s career postseason stats were:
63.75% comp. percentage
23 TDs/17 INTs

Ya, reason I deleted my Cam post. As for Aikman, his completion % was better in the postseason than regular (which I think he was under 60%).

Cam Newton won the MVP completing passes at a 59.8% clip.

And a couple of months ago people still questioned whether he's a franchise QB. Which goes to show how little the award actually means. Winning the MVP award and being the actual league MVP are two very different things

Lol, that’s a ridiculous statement.

He won the MVP for that season and was actually the league’s most valuable player that year.

Nothing more, nothing less.

You aren’t given the award based on how you’ll potentially perform in the future.

Whats funny to me is all the talk that Wetnz was the leading MVP candidate, a guy who with a 60.2 completion %. But hey, he has 33 tds. That's all people look at for qbs I guess.
What’s more funny is people think Philly can still win a super bowl. How do you lose an mvp qb and still possibly win a super bowl? But that’s none of my business

Aikman wasn't great during the regular seasons, he shined in the playoffs. And no way does Wentz compare to Rogers. A guy completing only 60.2% of his passes. People bash Dak on and on about his accuracy issues, but the Wentz people here overlook his own issues.
Part of that though is that Wentz is throwing a lot of long balls down the field. The kid has a cannon for an arm, wish we had him although I do like Dak.

No it isn't. Throws between 1-10 yards he's at 66% accuracy. Between 10-20 yards he's at 62% accuracy. Behind the line of scrimmage he's only at 67%.

Brady's completion percentage when thrown behind the line of scrimmage is over 90%, btw

I thought Giants game was first time he looked good in several weeks. Its a start. However, on all those long plays in Giants game I believe they were all throws for 7 yards or less. Still need to see him throw down field better and continue making teams pay for blitzing. Never questioned his heart but I still have some concerns about arm talent & ability to read defense when he is not getting "major" support around him.

Like the perfectly placed 40+ yard pass that hit Dez in his hands (then his facemask)?

Terrible compared to last years great season. Dak, with his struggles, is still completing 63%, with a qb rating of 91.6. Not great, but I wouldn't say terrible.
He's taken a step back and his inability to convert anything beyond 3rd and 5 has been a huge issue in every loss this year. He's been terrible.

He doesn't see the field. He made one play down the field against the Giants and that was the touchdown to Witten. The other big plays were short passes for long gains.

In terms of developing as a passer that game showed you nothing.

:hammer:

I dont understand how folks cant see this. B b but, the receivers get no seperation

And that's the problem, he's not getting better. Wouldn't be shocked if we're looking for a new QB in a couple of years.

Doesn't help his recievers are unable to get open. Dez has been terrible, Beasley is being doubled and can't get open. TWill is Twill. Witten has disappeared. As I said, his stats overall show that he hasn't been terrible. People were just spoiled by his great rookie year.
