Just throwing out some numbers. A little food for thought. Here is how Bledsoe led teams have faired in the past 10 years, and with the exception of the 2001 Pats, i believe he's started every game he's played in that 10 years. Scott Zolak threw the most passes in any one year during that span and that was 75 in 1998, other than Brady when he got hurt. So Drew has gone into the year and remained THE MAN all year on all of the teams.

Interesting in the fact that when he got hurt in 2001 they were already 0-2 but when Brady came in they went 10-4, won their last 6 and won the Super Bowl. They couldn't have been all that devoid of talent in 2000 when they went 5-11.

Pretty telling isn't it? He is a .500 quarterback and will tease you with some good moments but ultimately will give it all back. Well, all you have to do is blitz the hell out of him and you will probably win.

Drew is basically a 7-9 to 9-7 QB. He still has some talent throwing the football but those weaknesses will always be there and will become more prevalent, the older he gets.

Another interesting statistical observation is to look at Bill Belichik's record as a HC going all the way back to his days in Cleveland and compare his record from his first game in Cleveland until Bledsoe's injury and then from the game that Brady made his first start until now.

It is a shocking reversal and leaves the clear indication that Belichik's HC genius and the Lombardi status he currently enjoys with the media is more a reflection of him now having a great young QB than anything to do with his Genius as a HC.

Thats why I laugh at revisionist theory that somehow Brady wasn't that great and was only helped by great Defense, and Bledsoe could have done just as well.

I remember the 2000 season, Bledsoe was pretty bad, and Belichek didn't look whole lot like a genious that year. Somehow, Brady starts the 3rd game in 2001, and by year end, Belichek becomes the Genious he is now.

Bledsoe is a great person, off the field. Still kind of felt bad for him on Monday night, even if I hate Bledsoe the QB, I do love the Bledsoe the person. He is such a class act. But being a great person doesn't just cut it.

I believe Brady went 11-3. The Pats finished 11-5 that year and had a bye, you won't get a bye with 10-6.

No, they weren't.

But Mumbles was in his first year and it took most of it to counter the lack of discipline that had best the Pats under Carroll.

I think if you look at that year, you wil find most of the five wins coming in the last half of the season.

By the time Brady took over, Belichick had pretty much cleaned up the mess.
